What did he say? I missed that as I deliberately did not read anything about this movie before I saw it.

No, I meant I've been saying ignore all the reviews bashing it already. I"m thinking most of them aren't comic fans, or Iron Man fans so they just don't care about the cool nods to the fans.

Yeah I got that but I meant what you said about Jon saying something about the Iron man 2 BD in the Fall.

Lol...sorry, wasn't sure what we're talking about. Here's some info that was posted about the Blu Ray already:

If you skip to the end it mentions that they cut the "You complete me" scene that is in the trailer. That sucks because I really like that interaction between them.

the reviews never bother me as everyone has a different opinion, but I'll have to wait till I see it 2moro.
I do have a feeling though that this will have loads of nods to the Comic Geeks like myself which i think is affecting alot of the reviews, but owell.

good interviews

Surprised it is getting some very harsh reviews, but honestly nothing is going to stop people from seeing it. I think a lot of reviewers may expect every comic movie from now on to be as good as TDK. Plus a lot of them are pretentious and take their jobs way too seriously. That said, let's hope this film lives up to the first one.

"Pretentious" is usually fanboy code for people that have the audacity to expect coherent plots, meaningful character development and engaging dialogue.

Usually the critics are right, too. Fanboys always sneer at critics deriding the likes of Spider-man 3, Transformers 2, GI Joe, Wolverine, Attack of the Clones, and yet after summer hype is past, many of the same uppity fanboys are flat out embarrassed and/or lose all interest in those films.

If you want to know what happens after the credits of Iron Man 2 click this link not spoilerific but some people are weird so I'll post the link instead of just saying straight out.

I'm one of those weird ones, so thanks for just posting the link. :lol I remember how shocked I was when I saw the post credit scene in the first one. My aunt had just died so I hadn't been paying much attention to things and it was how I found out they would be doing an Avengers movie. :rock

BTW You'll be the only Tony Stark in my mind. In fact when I saw this one I thought you changed your name. :lol Sorry other Tony.

Not true, and this coming from someone in the business. Critics are like you and me. The only difference is they get paid to talk about how they felt about a film. They do not have to go to "critic" school, or even know anything about journalism. The fact is, their personal opinions on a particular director, actor, character, etc all factor in to their critiques. A critic may want to go against popular opinion to be different and therefore, appear more refined or intelligent when he/she explains why (see Armond White). Movies like the Shining and Blade Runner were almost universally panned. They are people, and they get it wrong too.

Fanboys are an entirely different topic. I think you mean "pre-fans" who are fans before watching the film. Most of these fans are delusional, defending negative critiques as if they have some personal stake in it.

Re: Iron Man 2....

I know critics are being a little wishy washy about it, but I'm still really excited! I'd take fellow fans opinions over critics any day!
