Wow, is this disappointing. So the ONLY option is return/refund or keep it? Damn. Looking forward to this going on TWO years and they put the freaking arc reactor or UPSIDE DOWN???? Unreal. I, too, was likely going to display this with the chest plate on anyway, but how on earth do you screw this up? Now I have to decide to keep or return my item, which is ALREADY shipping? Will the shipping back be paid? Will I get my NRD back as well, or am I already screwed out of that? Just unbelievable.

Full refunds would be issued to applicable customers. If folks have questions about refunds for their item (should they wish to cancel/return) then contacting customer service directly is the best route to get answer to any and all questions about the process.

I'd say every single one of these should be returned, the fact that this was released into the world like this, the proto gets photoshopped, and then a "take it or leave it" option is given to all the early buyers tells me that they think that's all they need to do to sweep this under the rug. Prove them wrong.

Hey Matt.
I'd display it with the plate on, even without it the AR wouldn't bother me.
No one wants a Limited Edition collectable that's worth half what they payed the day after they open it.

This is true. I guess the curse of the third party delay has worked to your advantage here as you have some decent time to think about it now and gauge reaction over the next month or so...

Estimated delivery date for me is Monday... I have 5 days to decide:panic:. Dammit.

Sideshow have offered full refunds but that may not mean ADs will offer the same :dunno
I payed in full 10 months ago.

Let me sum up for all the rage over this, so most of you guys like seeing ****s and nipples rather than in bikini. OK I can dig that :D

How's my analogy? :D

For me the removable chest plate is a great option, but not necessary Looks better and more movie accurate with the chest plate on! KnowhatImean !

I just heard about the arc reactor being in the incorrect position just a little bit ago and wanted to jump in here. All of the pieces will in fact have the arc reactor (on the internal portion of the piece) in the wrong position unfortunately. There should be an email going out today or tomorrow to applicable customers about the changed positioning of the arc reactor. Those who have already received their piece in hand (or are reading this now and haven't received theres yet) can contact customer service directly to cancel their order or have a return issued to receive a refund (if you've already received) if the arc reactors look is not to your liking.

I certainly understand that this unfortunate error on the piece is very disappointing for y'all after having had to wait to so long to receive it. I hope that many will still be happy with their piece if they choose to keep it but we don't want folks to keep their pieces (or receive them) if they are unhappy about the final look of the internal arc reactor, so please do contact our customer service department directly if you wish to cancel your order/receive a refund.

Thanks for coming forward and addressing this issue Alex. However, only one thing for me to say is that I think the customers who ordered this should have been notified to acknowledge the defect first before shipping out the products. It's kind of unfair to the customers. For me, I like it and love it a lot and I won't return this because I am not really attracted to the chest piece being open for the display at the first place anyway. I am drawn into the paint, the shape and looks of it externally which SS doing excellent job on that. For some reason if the paint messed up badly for example, I definitely are going to have something to say about that and return it, but that's not the case here. Well, everyone is different, so it's better not to mess up or at least notify them first.

If I got this I wouldn't display it without the chest piece, but I would be well aware that a chunk of the $350 paid went to designing and producing all the stuff under the plate with the arc reactor. Even if its a feature I don't want, I still don't want it to arrive broken after buying it for retail price. I would have preferred it didn't exist in the first place and that extra intricacy wasn't included in the price. I'd think partial refunds are the least they could do for all the people who still want this but don't want to pay retail for a broken bust.

Does this hurt the resale value because of this defect? Not that I intend on selling it but you know when times are tough or your collection goes in a different direction is it going to hurt the value of this bust if I/you decide to resell down the road?

Instead of looking arc reactor being upside down(180 degrees), try to look at it as being off by 60 degrees rotation. Might make you feel 3 times better :p

:exactly: :goodpost: :welcome

You will always be pulled by 'true collectors' for discussing potential future values but that is a very valid point.
I've sold items I never thought I would, as you say direction can change, new better versions of characters you love can be released.
Life sometimes comes before collecting and no one wants a worthless pile of polystone to show for their years of dedication and outlay.

Hi Guys,

I will be one the customers returning this item. I had originally purchased this for my office after seeing the prototype photos...

After seeing the production photos I'm glad I haven't received yet. In total, this is a very poor quality piece. I'm seeing sloppy, miss cast parts and poor paint work!

I wouldn't give you $20.00 for this... Shame on Sideshow, it's just about the money. Hopefully another company will pick up their customer base.

given this problem w/ sideshow..iron studios all the way given their first release 1/4 IM is awesome! i have faith on iron studios..next 1/4th release please..iron studios = iron man..
