Raza/Stane rebuilt the Mk.1 and had it at Stark Ent. to use as a referance for his suit, Tony probably just took it back before SHIELD could confinscate it.
That building blew up, along with the suit. If I remember correctly.

What, he went and built a new MKII?
Do you really see a Mark II there? I don't. Just bits of it.

What the hell happened to the Ten Rings
Stane had them killed when he went and got the Mark I. Cut of the snake's head...

However, I wonder how that Mark V is holding its shape. Is there a dummy inside?

Latest set Picts say A.I.M. will play a role in the movie.
...but hopefully sans Modok.

I only know Modok from the Iron Man animation series from the 90s. Don't have much knowledge about the character, but if they ever put him in an Iron Man movie, I think he should be played by Peter Dinklage. :lecture

Really? I thought Howard was a wimp. He didn't do anything that impressed me as him being a tough military guy. Either did Cheadle though until he put on the suit. :dunno

I never thought Howard was all that convincing either. I like Cheadle in general, but he really had nothing to do.

I believed that Howard could put Stark in his place. Not so much with Cheadle (who is certainly great as others have said, just not great as Rhodes.)

Modok is one of those characters that should stay on the printed page and very little even then. His design and character are ludicrous even by comic standards. The movie is getting top heavy with baddies already.

The scene with Stark and Rhodes on the jet in the first film is alone better than anything Cheadle did in Iron Man 2. It's not just about badassness, it's about screen chemistry. Howard had it with RDJ. Cheadle does not.

But speaking on convincing, when Cheadle first wears the MKII and says "Shut it down!" and bows up on Stark like he's a badass I pretty much roll my eyes every time.

Again, great actor... But very much the wrong guy for the role.

I'll give you chemistry, Irish. But there's something about Howard's "acting" that feels like "acting". Besides being chummy with Stark, I just didn't think his performance was up to par with the rest of the troupe. The weak link, IMO.

Maybe. But I'd still rather see him as Rhodey than Cheadle every day, and twice on Sunday.

Can't judge Howard since he didn't wear the suit :nono

/\ What the jedi said. :lecture

Me too. The main thing is that Cheadle doesn't have 1/10th the chemistry with RDJ that Howard did. He's also not believable at all as a military badass.

He's a better actor, but he sucks as Rhodey.

BTW, has anyone mentioned how weird it is that Mark II is in there even though it was stolen, stripped and used to build War Machine? What, he went and built a new MKII?
