Screw it, i'm seeing this dumb *** movie again tomorrow, maybe it is me. :lol

I can't wait to see the big reveal again, i'll use my surprise face. :lol

I did go see TDKR 3 x afterall.

I didn't love the holiday stuff, either. It was weird in May.

As for being able to breathe fire and not have clothes burn off, etc... this can all be explained away quite easily. But it's not at all necessary for the story, and it'd all be BS technobabble anyway. So I'm glad they didn't go into too much detail. The bit about it slotting into the brain and all that... fun comic book sci-fi. I think the rest can just be the same. But if we want to apply some comice book science to Extremis...

Extremis in the movies functions very much like Ezekiel Stane's biotech in the "Five Nightmares" storyline in the comics. In that, Zeke Stane upgraded his hypothalamus so that he could make the body produce excessive amounts of energy and rechannel it. Here, Extremis seems to do the same. Once it's "slotted" in, it can reprogram the human body. As a comic book viewing public, we've already accepted that a human can have a mutation that causes extreme self-healing (Wolverine) and a human can have his cells mutated to produce extreme heat (Human Torch) so I don't really see the problem here.

Extremis rewrites the human body to produce excessive heat and to heal itself. It's quite possible that Killian made further upgrades to himself, including the ability to channel this excessive heat. If you want to know how that was done, just think about the fact that even though he looked human, his internal organs could be all kinds of ****ed up now. :) He might have some heat producing organ that sits on top of a air intake/forceful exhale sac regulated by a system of flaps instead of regular lungs, and everything just heals instantaneously right after release of the heat. See, that's all BS. But if you accept super healing and heat production by the human body... not much of a stretch.

I do understand the thought that different people have different thresholds for this stuff, but I kind of feel like nothing shown here hasn't already been seen in other Marvel movies. :)

I hope Marvel makes everyone cry and instead of Thanos as the villain in Avengers 2, they pull the carpet out from under everyone and it's really been Trevor pulling the strings all along . . . with magical rings!
