This reminds me of the comic black widow white variant. It came out immaculate at a very low ES. People jump on it cuz the ES is so low. But I've seen a few being sold aftermarket at cost. I wouldn't be surprised to see the WM turn our great though cuz of the low ES. Now whether that's worth $500 is another discussion.

I wouldn't go anywhere near that War Machine, though it should be easier to paint than the IP, plus the kids who will be working on it are a year or two older, so skills should have improved.

This piece has already convinced me to cut a number of orders, and to focus on what I really want to round out my collection. That said, I received two excellent SS pieces this week, so they are capable of putting out great product, but when you see an effort like the IP (or CR Superman) it is just a gut punch for the collector. Completely takes the wind out of your sails when you feel like the company is mailing it in.

Looks like that armor has a case of the mumps.

That's what I noticed too, it has a weird orange peel texture. I would expect an Iron Man armor to be smooth as glass. I mean I guess it does technically look like "iron". Unfortunately it looks like it just came from getting hammered on an anvil.:lol

I have to say I'm disappointed how IP turned out and was very tempted to pick it up because the pose and sculpt look great. The IP armor is one of my favorite designs and it's the colors that make it stand apart from the rest. I'm glad I got the HT IP when I did.

It comes with an Ultron drone arm.... Well worth the extra 100.00

I'll assume that is sarcasm, but if not, the crane was removed, that saved costs and should even things out a bit. Also, by that logic, had this been a whole new statue instead of just a variant, it would have cost about $1500 if that newly sculpted arm on the base alone is worth $100 ;)

so with the problems with the iron patriot, this is $100 more will it have the same paint issues?

In all honesty, with the low ES and higher price point, my guess is it will come out significantly better. Still not worth the price IMO but should look pretty good. Too bad the stuff that everyone wants, mark 43, VII, III will have insane ESs and most likely poor paint(though I hope not).

The texture is accurate. That's how it looks in the movie

How about a spoiler tag? I'm not seeing this until tomorrow.:lol Seriously though, I stand corrected. I'm glad the WM MK II is accurate then and I look forward to seeing how it turns out. I don't recall if any other armors had that sort of texture or not.:dunno

Maybe Sideshow will release a "clean" version considering that the "battle damaged" version of IP wasn't a success with collectors.........
