This seems better painted like the 1/4 scale.
The price of this is like an LSF right?

Damn, R$ 4999,99? I don't know anyone in that country that can afford that. That caught me off guard, I was certain it would cost a lot less.

In their facebook, Iron Studios is saying these pictures (the ones Ricardo posted) are from a production piece already.

I was considering this one but now I'm out. Price is higher than I anticipated and to be honest, it's way too battle damaged for my taste.

Seriously... :cuckoo:
they have ***** trying to ask the same price as Sideshow with such a "bad reputation" after their other Mark XLII "paint fiasco".

When paying $2k for a Sideshow LSF, you know you'll get quality and if there's a problem with your figure, you know they'll give you proper CS. What about Iron Studios? They'll give you a load of c*ap on FB and that's all. :dunno

I was expecting (even if I NEVER even considered bying this) somewhere between 1200$ -> 1600$ since they're new in this business. I truly hope they'll have many many many Brazilian buyers because I don't think they'll have many International...

That was my inicial thought too. Something in between $1200 and $1500.
They are not aiming international buyers as they only have the license for brazilian sales. SO the price is not so bad for brazilian standards as a Sideshow LSF costs in between $3500-$4000 down here.

Well damn. Looks pretty cool, but expensive to the max. Same price as SS, however shipping is going to burn off interest.

But this is the first time I see an IM suit or figure with the right neck, waist etc. proportions that looks like an in scale person could fit in there. Almost every IM piece has a man-like silhouette, instead of a man dressed in thick plates of metal armor. Look at that fat neck and broad waist, that's how it should be!

Iron Studios' paint might not be very good, but their designs are sweet!

At least you won't have to worry about paint app issues with this piece.

I think the same, this seems a joke haha

I've had enough with the painting job on the 1/4, I won't imagine with the 1/2 scale, this seems better but this are the promotional pictures and always shown the better job and not the final product.

Sideshow/Legacy already have the MK42 covered in 1/2 scale so my mind is made up and I'll stick with Sideshow

Besides, not a massive fan of the base nor the pose...this Iron studios LSF will be a pass for me I'm afraid

That's a perfect representation of that armor. I mean look at it... it's beautiful!

:exactly: couldn't agree more....Sideshow have got it spot on in terms of the Iron Man LSF line so no need to jump ship on the MK42. Be patient and Sideshow will deliver the goods. Next up, the MKVII LSF :yess:

My Mark VII LSF is already Pre-ordered with Secret Compass brother. I can't wait for it!

Frankly speaking, i do not have any confidence on what IS mentioned it is production piece as their 1/4 MK42 also telling us the same. But the final outcome of the painting is really disappointed. Additionally, with USD 1999, I think most collector will prefer sideshow one at least we have better confident.

The painting make this IM look a bit plastic in my opinion.

Agreed! I'm a fan of battle damaged looks by far and away, but for some reason it not clicking with me this time.

The Sideshow/Legacy 1:2 scale Mark XLII on the other hand is magnificent. But so was the 1:2 Mark V and doesn't look that will ever happen. Still hope for an Mark V PF though.

even if I could get this, just don't like it. All those Legacy 1:2 pieces look way better. The battle damage is just too much on this.

Looks like a suntanned version. The price should be similar to Imaginarium Art if they want international buyers.
