I vote SS recruit Andy for Qc control :clap
The problem is the QC needs to be improved in the plants in China. All those plants are owned by some one other then sideshow so really it wouldn't matter. Now if ss bought a plant in China and installed a project management system for QC then we're talking.

It's Sideshows duty, to their customers, to ensure there's stringent Q.C in place at those factories.

Yup. SS needs to send their people to CHINA, qc the actual goods while in process... instead of just sitting in California awaiting the boxes to arrive.

While I agree with you both the bottom line is, people will still buy there crap so why change.

Asian region have Imaginarium Art that is cheaper than SS for LSF and direct competition. So SS will definitely lose out on Asian market for the LSF if they continue down this road.

Looks fantastic!

Glad you got a good one.

Think you have the thigh pods on the wrong legs though...
Ahahahah!
Looked at my right on where it's displayed now and is fine... looked back at my "getting-out-of-box" pictures and YEAH... inverted them! :slap
Tx!

What is the story with Sideshow and their implementation on QC at their Chinese factories and at their own warehouses also? Are we even clear that Sideshow have a QC policy anymore? Yes the sticker is still applied to our Styrofoam boxes but the statues are arriving with the consistent problems....some utterly comical! :slap and mostly all of them are Iron Man related!!! :gah:

* Iron Man MKVI Legendary Scale Bust - Arc Reactor applied upside down on not 1 but all 3000 busts!!!! :slap :lol :lol WTF?!?!
* Iron Man MKVII Lifesize Bust - Head and Torso painted in completely different colours!!!! and not an isolated case either!!! :thud: :slap
* Iron Man MKVII LSF - A plethora of ongoing issues of damaged pieces, weak magnets, scratches, etc... even one customer receiving a $2K piece which had a repaired broken leg but wasnt even completely repainted!!! And it still got sent out!!!! WTF!!! :gah:

These issues are merely a few of the continueing Sideshow blunders of late and there are many, many more to mention....so where is the QC I ask? :dunno I was under the impression that Sideshow employ someone or some people to thoroughly check each piece that is made so that it corresponds to the criteria that Sideshow have set out for each piece in order for it to PASS, thus having the QC approved sticker applied to the box to certify that all is good :huh whilst you can forgive a statue arriving with some part of it broken or damaged throughout transit, you cannot forgive some of the unbelievable errors that I have mentioned above aswell as many more for other pieces too. Its just crazy!

I mean, Spawn10459 received not one but THREE replacement LSF's and ironically, the first one proved to be the best of the 3 :lol :lol and that was after he was promised that each replacement would be hand checked and approved by the warehouse at Sideshow before it was shipped out! :thud: You couldn't make it up! :lol
and this on a $2K piece!!! :horror

We've got a whole line of these supposed top class Iron Man collectible Maquettes arriving to our shores very soon so these QC issues better start improving soon or they might aswell give up on the Iron Man movie line (which I hope they don't cos that would make me very sad!) :(

I blame the idiots at the factory for boxing up statues with obvious defects. They are wasting resources shipping defective statues all the way over here only for the customers to return them. Good help most be hard to find in china. Sideshow might have to have one of their American employees stationed there to ensure the idiots at the factory do no box up defective statues in the first place.

The product belongs to SS. It is SS responsibility to ensure it is up to their standard. Apple, Samsung, car components, almost all things in world now is made in China. You don't go blaming factories and employees in China for the issues with Apple or other big brand stuff.

Very true. It's Sideshow that's written all over the box not the factory name. Proper QC should be undertaken before they put their name on anything, especially when it's been manufactured by a third party.

Round 2 for this statue is on Saturday so I am crossing my fingers that it is defective free this time. :panic: I am going with an open mind and hopefully I will be bringing it home with me. I will post the outcome either way

What was wrong with your first one?

What was wrong with your first one?

Here is the post I made earlier on my first attempt at picking this up. I am lucky in a way that I can check this stuff before I hand over any money.

Well as I expected it was a total disaster. I didn't even get the statue fully assembled. I got the base out and it was sunken in the middle slightly but not too bad, then came the legs and as soon as I put them on the base I noticed the paint had 2 massive cracks in it above the thigh armour and a massive scratch down the side of the same leg on the right. As soon as I saw those I didn't go any further and boxed it back up. To say I am bummed would be an understatement but at least I didn't get it home before noticing and then have to return it.

The Terminator on the other hand turned out great which is why I can't understand why they can get it right on some but mess up so spectacularly on other things. I just received a PM from my LCS when I got home to say he can get me another IM next week so I am going to have a look and hope for the best but to be honest I am hoping its defective also as I just can't be doing with it any more and SS doesn't deserve to get any more of my hard earned. More updates to follow next week.
