Thank you once again for the kind words about the Ree-Yees figure, guys. And the same group of people have consistently provided the type of feedback and encouragement that helps keep me interested in doing (and sharing) these custom projects. For those who have been consistently replying to the progress pics I've posted in this thread, if you'd ever like to have one of these figures, please let me know - I'll do everything I can to replicate one for you whenever possible (and reasonable :)). I have a couple of Ree-Yees requests I've been working on, and would be willing to try a limited number of additional ones. Otherwise, it's on to making a Yak-Face. :yess:

I have a goal in the back of my mind to recreate a puzzle that I had (and loved) as a kid with 1/6 figures. When you look at the lineup, it's a safe assumption that most of those (minus Bib) will have to be custom made. :lol

Ree-Yees looks great. Really nice job with him.

Love the idea of recreating the line-up from that puzzle. Funny the stuff that sticks with you from childhood. I received one of the original "Early Bird" kits back in 1977 for Christmas. I always liked the cardboard stand that came with the kit, and remember the fun I had getting all of the figures to fill up the display. Now that I'm into 12" figures, I have a 1/6 scale display for all of the same characters in the same order as the originally appeared in that display.

As others have mentioned, Ree-Yees turned out great!

I had that ROTJ puzzle as well, one of my favorites as a kid.

Dude your tailoring is just so good. Once I get more stuff done with Amanaman and Tessek I want to tackle other characters. Your Ree-Yees is awesome. And that puzzle is a great reference pic for Tessek! I’ve been looking for more, thank you 👍

Ha... that's the pic I mostly relied on as ref for building my custom Ree Yees.:yess:

No pressure, but SOMEBODY needs to create a great Snaggletooth sculpt.:lecture

Almost have all the parts ready for my first Amanaman! The hands were a nightmare to have it be one piece, so I had to cast the fingers separately. Since they had to be casted separately I added articulation, I think it works pretty well. Not perfect, but it's fun!Amana.jpeg

Your ingenuity is outstanding. :clap Very clever (and very cool) way to work around the difficulty of casting one-piece hands. Your commitment to seeing this through is really commendable, especially considering how difficult this was always going to be. Awesome job, Cagoda!

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the feedback! If all goes as planned I hope to have a fully assembled Amanaman ready for painting *fingers crossed.*

That's got to be the most elaborate custom fig ever created.:clap

Gotta celebrate! Put together my first Amanaman, he's ready for paint!0-36.jpeg0-37.jpeg0-38.jpeg0-39.jpeg

Wow, how exciting to see it all together! The shoulder joints are pretty nicely hidden.

The one thing I'd say (perhaps the day of the dead theme...:lol) is the hands look a bit skeletal due to the joints. Did you say you had no-artculation hands also, or are they all like that?

Just like with the elbows, it's totally mind-blowing what you did (have no idea how you did that,) and it's pretty much professional SSC-level in execution, but it feels a bit too visible to me. Maybe because the hands are dark green rather than the brighter yellow of the elbow area, the joints will be hidden more and it'll be okay for that reason.

If it's articulated hands only, it's okay - I may just set them up in the exact fingers pose I want then fill in the joints - which is actually a kind of cool feature in and of itself.

Are you selling this as a fully painted figure as well as the raw resin kit, or is it just the kit?

As I've said, this really has to be up there in the top five of the best custom SW figures ever made. Just crazy good.:clap
