Yes but how to put GG Slave Leia on Jabba's throne... Is there enough space?... what you think?

Probably not enough space, and the GG Leis is a sexy piece and I wouldn't want to be looking at it like wow that's hot and have my eyes blur the background and see Jabba and be like OH NO!!!!! Though if the GG Leia statue is to exciting for some people, maybe having her next to Jabba would allow for balance, "Oooooh Leia.....Ewwwwww Jabba *vommit*"

Strange......I would have recognised your doily shots if I ever come across them......no one has so much love for them as much as you!:D

They where shots of stuff before I started using the doily.

I had that happen once (that I know of at least). The guy used my shots from my Yodasnews review and Dave Myatt's photo archive shots on Rebelscum. Both of us e-mailed the seller separately and just asked him to remove them, which he prompted did to his credit. :)

One of the sellers did that the one in Mexico I couldn't get to do the same.

I love graphic design, I love Star Wars and SW collecting, this is a nice marriage of all of that, but in addition, it's a nice exercise to keep up my skills as well as improve them both with photoshop and photography, so even though it's playing around, I approach it with the same attitude I would a pay job.

Here's my latest:

That's the same way I approach some of my pictures. Also, I'm always trying to push the envelope with what I can do when the picture warrants.

And, MaulFan, that latest picture is the best one so far!!! Jabba looks nearly seamless, and Bib just looks flat out creepy!! :)

I don't think the GG Leia will come off her cloth she is on. Maybe placing her in front of the Jabba throne on a larger surface might look OK but she would be much lower.

I gotta say, now that I'm using him with Jabba, Bib's sculpt is great, but I almost wish they did a sneaky, underhanded expression to his face, he often has a look on him like "yes master, he's a puny little Jedi you can take him", the current sculpt is a bit too blank to work great, but again, it looks fantastic, Tim did a great job, just too emotionless for my current use of him.

I also wish they had an LED behind the frog bowl to illuminate it, I know it would have cost more, but there's deffinately a bulb there in the movie it's always glowing and shining, deffinately a light source there, and an LED would help show off the qualit of the bowl, it's phenominal how they created the murky water look and the way the frogs look inside it, quite freaky how realistic it is, that alone makes me feel fine about the cost of the thing.

Well...Bib IS a "weak-minded fool", so I think the face sculpt perfectly captures that. :)

Or you could put somenting behind the throne and put jabba back a little so that we have a little of space to place the GG Leia statue on it...well that way jabba's Hooka pipe have to be taken off, I know... well we can talk alot about this... we'll know only when we'll have our GG Leia statue in hand anyways...

Thanks, the trick is, I used two identical images of Jabba. I mounted my camera on my tripod, shot one with no flash to catch the natural light highlights from behind him like in the film, then I shot one with flash on to get the frontal lighting matched, then blended them together in photoshop and pasted that blended Jabba into the film still and worked it from there.

Ooohh...that's a nice trick. I may have done that once before (it sounds vaguely familiar to me), but I'll have to keep that in mind for future projects.

Key part is the tripod, and luckily for me, a remote control for the camera, by not touching the camera hardly at all, the pictures were identical but for lighting, they weren't off vertically or horzontally in any way, so it was just paste one over the other, layer mask what i needed to and walla, dark lit Jabba with bright highlights.

What the heck kind of camera do you have??! And how deep into debt will it run me? LOL :)

Canon Powershot Pro 1, they don't make it anymore but you might still be able to track it down somewhere, I paid $600 when I got it 2 years ago.

Not as expensive as I thought it would be (remote control just sounds rather fancy). In between bills and collecting, I'm saving up for a Canon Rebel XT digital camera myself.

I'm probably upgrading to Rebel XTi soon, it's a bit out of budget but my best friend is getting married and asked me about shooting her wedding, I told her in lieu of payment, for the quality of her images, give me the money to get the camera and we'll call it square, she's making her final decision but I'm hoping she'll use me so I can get a new toy.

Not the most exciting image, but again, these are being made for my video project and there's a progression happening and when it all comes together, even the boring pieces will make a nice contribution to the whole.

i'm just getting to opening mine up ...

there was a strange sound as if something was broken, but everything looks fine. Seems like there is something inside the throne moving around .. anyone else have this?

Several people have reported it, with it being hollow and the holes for the railing posts, something could have fallen in at some point or been sealed in during manufacturing, as long as the exterior is in good condition, I wouldn't worry.
