I got my Jabba yesterday and was surprisingly underwhelmed. He looks nice and all but nothing spectacular. However, when placed on his throne with Salacious and Bib, it looks amazing. I don't see how anyone can get Jabba and not get the throne. This is one amazing display I have going and I hope to get some pics up this weekend.

Now where's our Slave Leia?

I just wish they'd let Hot Toys do some of these or something.

I wouldn't be interested in a Slave Leia with the current body.

I however don't care that much for articulation for this piece and would love to see something similar to GG's pose done by SS.

there are some "bendy" type female bods made by Volks and a few others that i plan on using when SS makes a Leia. take the head (hopefully not super sized) and costume and switch to bendy bod.

I managed to get the plug out of Jabba, and there's A LOT of storage space in there.

And it went back on, no problems.


Taking the plug out was the first step in eventually customizing him to have ball-joints.

I really don't like most of the bendy bodies I've seen. Too much like Gumby in a metal bra.

agreed, but what else we got? u know SS isn't gonna design some revolutionary seamless/no joint bod when they won't even redesign their basic bods and can't give us short/tall/big boys w/o monkey arms. there's always Triad but even they have (less noticable) joints. i've used the Gumby bods for some CY Girls and they can look okay. key is to get sharp bends at the knees and elbows. pliers help, but w/ sharp bends like that u risk snapping the wire.

It would be limiting, but a nice polystone/vinyl Slave Leia sculpted to sit with the Jabba throne would work around joint issues, but unfortunately limits poses and for anyone wanting to pose a Leia with Jedi Luke, that wouldn't be possible either. I don't so much mind joints as long as the physical structure of the body looks human, the SSC bodies work well for under clothes but exposed, they seem all out of proportion, some of the arms seem very thin for the torso.

Ya know, I keep hearing and seeing everyone say that "exposed joints" are evil... but these are action figures. They have joints to move. If you want a full range of motion, there WILL be exposed joints. Mikey's Leia looks fantastic and it has the dreaded exposed joints. So what is more important, having a nice SS Prisoner Leia that is posable and durable, or a Prisoner Leia with no exposed joints that may not be nearly as posable or durable? I say give us Leia now!

Well in the case of this character, action for the most part was limited to sitting on the throne. I think Mikey's Leia looks great, BUT I also feel that given the visual quality of Jabba's entourage that we have so far (and even Bib's wrists can be hidden with a little work, the line between realistic and toy are quite blurred by the quality in all of the pieces from Jabba to Salacious, and a Leia with a body like Hot Toys muscular body would help to round out the realism of the display where a jointed figure like Mikey's is good cuz it gets the character there with poseability, it still adds a ""toy"" element to a setup that would otherwise lack that trait (I know some feel the hookah looks toyish, I don't).

I have.. and want to get one, but I don't want to wait forever. Plus some of the joints on them look a bit wonky, and I have no idea on the posablity.

See, those joints are fine by me because the body itself is shaped like a female body should be and not robotic and fake looking like the Buck comes off.

My biggest complaints with Triad:

The pelvis area looks off to me for some reason. Maybe its just me.
The hips look to have a restricted range of motion.
The chest looks kinda... meh. (Didnt they something about changable chests?)
and last but not least...

THEY ARENT ON SALE YET!

Really I want to get one, but at the same time, I'd hate to put the Hasbro Leia head on that body.
