i'll probably try both Triad and Gumby.

there's about 3 types i know of. that'd prolly be the best for Leia. there's another (Jill from Res Evil) almost the same size but has fingerless gloved hands, and u can not remove/replace hands on these bendies. might could paint the gloves flesh tho. there's also an Asian police officer i think made by DML, but it's bustier and thicker. maybe to thick for Leia.

oh and then there's the ones by Volks. easiest to find and u can get diff shapes and colors.

that's waaaay overpriced. u can find the body seperate quite often.

Wor, that's an Asian custom from a place called Custom Lab. very pricey! i've seen them go for over a grand. guy/gals do everything. paint the face, resculpt the body (leaving all artic but the waist), even add itty bitty eyebrows!

lol, they do a bit. i'm just trying to lay out the options. right now it seems we have reg jointed bods (Triad a bit more concealed), gumbies, or a statue. now if only someone would make a lil animatronic Leia!

I think what helps the Triad bodies (or any body) look much less toy-ish, is going to the trouble of giving it realistic paint application. The quality on those triads is in the shape but also in the uniformly skin-like paint work that has been applied.

That's right. I believe I was in my "No Jabba" insanity like you said. He does. I stare at him a lot when I'm in my room working on grades.

I've taken Jabba from his throne quite a bit the last few days and just hold him in hand and check out all the coolness sculpted into him, they just did such a phenominal job you can't take it in all at once, you can look at it over and over again and still be in awe, I don't care that he was pricy, he's fantastic and I am so glad that 1) they made this piece, 2) I was able to get my hands on the whole package, Jabba is great, but I can't imagine having him without his royal throne and all, it's just an amazing collection and integrating Salacious and Bib only steps it up another level and really makes those pieces worth getting, I hope nobody passed on them thinking they'd be lousy and then get Jabba and wish they had the rest.

My biggest complaint with Triad is that the neck posts (I think) are not SS compatible.

the female heads probably will be compatible.

as for the male figures, just use a hot toys body. the purpose of the triad body is to have as few visible joints as possible. why add the ugly neck joint and ruin that beautiful torso?

Well it took forever, but I've finally gotten my office back to presentable after my emergency Jabba rearrangement. I've now got the slug displayed atop my vintage kenner collection... and I'm pretty happy with it.
