I have no idea what type of body. It was a grab bag I purchased on Feebay. Remember the really ugly Asian guy with a broken nose on a female body? This was one of the extra bodies in there.

Edited to say...I THINK it was a Lone Ranger body...come to think of it...

Had to re-do the face to fit a smaller body. :monkey2 Still working on the face. He's starting to look like an alien.

Yeah but that's how Link looks. :lol Huge Alien-like eyes. Thin nose and a little mouth.

He is really looking like an alien. Anyway, I need to finish this guy...and just complete one project. It's a gigantic project, but I need to see something complete since I have so many unfinished projects.

jejejje:D:D I had not seen this. The same answer I have in the other thread. I see that we had the same perception. encouragement!!!:whip

The sculpt is too big..so...I'm going to start over from scratch. I just ordered a DiD adolescent body. I don't know how he's going to turn out, but my plan is that he's going to be freaking awesome (even though he's not an ape).

What matters is the love, effort and dedication that you put. You will end up with something really good. Besides doing some sculptures, especially of archaeological, I also make artistic painting and also I always I say "until I have finished it, you can not do a critical to my job." :D Here we are to help us improve to one and all.
I like much that you do with the your custom apes :elf

OK. I tried again, and here's how Link looks. I know it's jumping the gun before the figure is even delivered, but I'm so curious to see how this will turn out. I brought the eyes closer together, and he's less alien-looking.

It's looking great so far, but I would suggest maskign the eyes smaller and a bit more angular, it would help with them not looking so 'buggy'

Going for the less buggy look. Can see nose and lips are a little crooked. I'm going to try to massage them over.

Very cool! Thank you for the links. Can't wait to get to the hair, my favorite part of sculpting.

Major snafu with painting today...had to completely strip the paint off of one head I was working on. Soooo disgusted with myself. Live and learn.

Instead, I threw myself into sculpting again, since I can't do much to Link until I get the body shipped to me.

Here's Cornelius. He still needs to be cleaned up. I'll see how I feel about him tomorrow.

I also upgraded my sculpting tools. I was using these guys but I splurged on tools and got the cheapest ones possible--about $15 worth.

The body I ordered last week for Link arrived today. It is gorgeous!! I have never been this excited for a non ape project. This Link, even though I know nothing about him, is going to be FUN to make. And, because I can't afford the expen$ive 1:6 scale shield, I'm going to have to craft one. :maul

Should I move his eyes and eyebrows down a notch to match the human one?
