Re: [iminime] Serial Killer Movie (7) - Detective 'M' & 'S'
Emarae I wanted to ask how did the normal HT neck connector fit into your DX sculpt for the Lucius Fox bash you did... was it a smooth and good fit?
You know what? I have a few of those boot leg TT bodies that I bought for other customs I did and I had some extra neck connectors that came with them. I figured since the base body was the bootleg TT on the Se7en set, that the neck connectors from the bootleg TT would give me no problems. I'm guessing the regular TT neck connectors are the same, but I haven't actually compared. Anyways, the way I did it worked out just fine and was a snug fit that didn't even require glue. I'm gonna compare and check right now for you to see if there is a diffference, etc. I'll post again later with my findings...
Okay, so yeah, I did a quick Lucius Fox bash with extra parts I had laying around in my extra parts bin. I didn't want to waste the beautiful extra Somerset head that came with the DX set I got. I may still go in and add more white to his hair and change out the tie and shirt someday to something more colorful, but it's not a big deal to me. I know there are plans for Denny to do a Fox as well, but I'm good with my own bashed version...
NECK CONNECTOR TO BODIES
Now, I looked into the neck connector situation, and it will all depend on what body and neck connector you end up using. The bootleg TTs used for the Se7en set are based on the TT Narrow shoulder bodies, so the neck connectors from either of those should be fine. I even tried a neck connector from my Obama TT which is basically the Advanced TT and that seemed to plug into the Narrow Shoulder or bootleg TT too, though a tad more snug.
NECK CONNECTOR TO HEAD
All the real TT neck connectors were loose going into my extra Somerset head sculpt, but with a little bit of superglue they will be fine. With my bootleg connectors, they were a little bit better, but not as snug as I originally stated or thought. Again, just a little bit of super glue will do the trick.
I had some extra neck connectors that had smaller plugs/ holes, so be careful what you end up using. I'm not sure where I got these, probably from some of the Headplay heads I picked up in the past or some older TT bodies, but if you see in the pic (the 4 on the left of the pic), the plug/ holes are smaller. The 2 on the right are bigger and are from the bootleg TT bodies. As I stated earlier, the regular Narrow Shoulder TT neck connectors should be fine too, though the plugs/ holes on them appear very slightly smaller.
