Pure speculation on my part, but I have a feeling that part of why most DC films bomb is because they aren't released during the summer. I'd be curious to see how JL would do if it was released in May/June/July instead of November.

Someone on reddit pointed out that the poster seems to be inspired by Seven Samurai. It lines up with Zack's JL & SS comparison.

Except that film actually had 7 samurai.

Makes sense, Snyder saw the film and thought, "Unite the Seven sounds rad!"

Either that, or Snyder has difficulty counting.

I know Reynolds was Green Lantern, but if they can redo Spider-man anybody wish they would revamp GL into the DCU..really missed opportunity to not have GL in this film.
