They need to hire Kennedy and Fiege for their next company retreat. Or even George Lucas. Or the guy who did Jaws 2. Anyone who can teach them how to string two movies together.

Lucas?

Does anyone honestly believe the bull**** "family tragedy" leave of absence narrative WB used to fire Snyder?

As soon as the WB suits (morons) bought into the BvS hate, they canned Snyder and brought in Whedon.

That's why this movie blows. It's a reactionary movie made to appease a ridiculous crowd that after 9 years of MCU light-heartedness can't stomach a serious and dramatic DCEU.

In 10 years, MOS & BvS will be looked at very differently.

“Ten years from now, no one is going to care how quickly the books came out. The only thing that will matter, the only thing anyone will remember, is how good they were. That's my main concern, and always will be.” George RR Martin, 2007. :lol

I loathed mos when I first saw it , for mainly the reasons talked about on here often. Now I love the damn thing.

I think MOS will be appreciated more if they follow through with Superman actually growing into Superman. BvS will always be the Martha movie.

Another thing I liked about JL - Batman doesn't kill a single human!

:fireworks

Funny, most of the reviews I’ve seen (mainly on fandom sites) have been positive. Not gushing, but positive.

Of course it may still bomb, but not because it’s that bad a film.

Your budget doesn't pass $300 million due to "reshoots" unless you're actively trying to undo the previous guy's work. Zack refusing to pal around with his buddies at the premiere or catching any showing on his own only confirms it.

WB had a full "Han Solo movie" on their hands and clearly tried to cover it up.

I'm not passing judgment on the film until I see it and for all I know I'll enjoy it but there's no denying that this was a hell of a mucked up production.

I know that anecdotal evidence is ultimately worthless but I was very surprised at my screening. I typically go to the same theater on opening-day Friday to an early show, between 4 and 6 pm. This was the first time - in years - that the parking lot was so packed I had to go behind the theater and walk around. Audience reactions ranged from silence at some of the poor jokes and one loud laugh at a moostache close-up to massive applause when Superman appears in-costume and enthusiastic applause at the end. :dunno

Random people off the street who had no knowledge of "mustache-gate" beforehand were laughing out loud at how noticeable it was? Wow.

Maybe Snikt is right 700 years from now MOS and BvS will be national treasures but right now at this very moment they are known as the movies that killed cinematic Batman, Superman and the freaking JL.

Cyborg lol

8-10 reviews on YouTube are all very positive:dunno

Honestly think DC should follow Disney's example and pay off the press. If you cant beat them join them.

If WB wasn't run by idiots, they would have allowed Snyder to complete his Superman trilogy. If they absolutely felt the need to butcher this franchise tonally it needed to happen after JL. Superman would have reached "maturity" [as Snyder intended] and his change in behavior would have been a good pairing for a change in tone to the overall film.

Firing Snyder during JL was dumb. ****ing dumb.

Well, it was one loud person. Could have been one of the experts on here - I didn't notice if he was wearing a surgical mask to block out pleb germs or if he ordered his own popcorn or asked his mom to do it.

Remember what happened to Donner during the completion of Superman 2?

These things will always be those "what could have been" scenarios that end up being more interesting than the movies themselves.

Like I said WB doesn’t care about these characters. They don’t give a ****. Marvel cares about its properties. It shows with this. WB pretty doesn’t give a ****. Never did. Playing catch up didn’t work well
