JUSTICE LEAGUE movie

My personal experience reading JLA is pretty spotty, mostly mid 70's stuff till mid 80's and then a huge gap till Identity Crisis then some stuff after (enjoyed the lightning saga stuff) and then first few issues of the new 52 so my JLA knowledge as a team from comics is limited. That said not sure if a grim darker movie would work or something more like Justice League unlimited, which had a decent amount of comedic content ( which was probably McDuffie).

I would think Nolan's Bat universe works best as a stand alone universe. Either way it's going to be pretty interesting how the do this, the Avengers was well done and really worked with it's cast of characters, whatever Warners ends up doing it's going to be a hard act to follow.

Not sure. Using a dark pallet, I think the outfits would look good on screen.

Somethink like Elvis's custom would look great. If they want armor, call it some tactical kevlar mesh or some other mumbo jumbo.

No thanks. :monkey4

Interesting. So who was the original villain if not the Penguin or Catwoman? I can't imagine it was ever Shreck by himself.

Burton was involved before the script was written - it was always Catwoman and Penguin.

My guess:

Overzealous WB executive who has no true idea how to SMARTLY do this is putting out the word that Justice League is happening after The Avengers' huge success. Probably just trying to get a boost on stock prices or whatever and keep the Board happy as well since he (Robinov) just became Prez of the WB Motion Picture group.

I think it's flapping the gums right now. It will no doubt happen....just not as soon as Robinov is saying...

Or use Marvel's "Ultimate" look of the Justice League:

New Superman costume already resembles this one:

He meant giving the Marvel Ultimate treatment to the JLA.

There is no Marvel "Ultimate" treatment. Ultimates exists outside of standard Marvel continuity. DC rebooted their franchises starting all over again with the New 52. It's not an alternate universe. It's DC's main universe. :monkey1

Newb comeback is... newbish. Man, what is it with you today? :dunno :lol

My cat got run over by a car and she's dead.

If Marvel had made the Ultimates the main universe, it would be the same thing, right? So, DC 'Ultimated' their whole universe and eliminated the prior incarnations. Seems like splitting hairs.

I knew what he meant.

Other than the popped up collar, this costume looks good.

Can't wait till SS gives us a nice Kingdom Come Superman.

It will be a day unlike any other. One of my favorite interpretations of Supes. Love the Black-red symbol.

No, it's still not the same thing. That's like arguing Keaton's Batman and Nolan's Batman are the same. :cuckoo: :lol

Sorry to hear about your cat. :(

Thanks. It just happened and I'm still in shock.

I wasn't even there. :(

However, Nolan's Batman and Keaton's Batman are both Batman. Similarity is the treatment of two discrete objects as though they were identical, keeping in mind that although their particular measurements differ, those measurements fall within the same definitive range.

Nolan/Keaton Batman are very different, but they are still similar enough for them to both be called Batman.

52/Ultimates is more extreme, but not off the reservation.
