I totally agree... Returns is a great movie. But it lacks (to me) the same level of style and character that made Burton's Batman the classic that it is.

A big visual difference was the batsuit. Due to the snow of the film, there was more a greyish tint to the rubber, and the filming of Keaton in it times almost looked like Glamour shots or something, the suit was all slick and perfect, his eyes were more animated looking; BATMAN had more of a mysterious portrayal of the title character. I also think that while Joker had his comical moments, there was also a balance of him being ****ed in the head and somewhat scary/threatening; Penguin seemed really made to be comic relief in the film, which is good to have, and Catwoman made to give some sex appeal, which she was, but it works so much better when you have a twisted villain whose portrayal really makes you want to dislike him. Ras in Begins wasn't someone you wanted to like and quite a ********, so that was great, but Returns, Forever and B&R really lost the qualities of a proper villain.

Oops, I was actually thinking about Begins when I posted that. But some of it is true of Returns as well. I liked the sequel, but it was nowhere near as good... a bit to comical and less mysterious like you said.

The big difference I see in BATMAN and Batman Begins is that BATMAN is more a comic book film, and Begins is a more realistic story. From the backstory of Bruce Wayne to the creation of all his toys, everything feels practical and believable in Begins. With BATMAN, and pretty much every film of the quadrilogy, you never get a sense of HOW Bruce Wayne came to be everything he is; he can fly, drive, build fancy cars, endless resources of technology and such, with no origin for any of it. That's the one aspect where I prefer Begins over BATMAN, but for the overall, I enjoy the original more so. I will say, Keaton and Bale are my 2 favorite actors for the role, they both have very genuine portrayals and you don't feel like they're pretending to be someone.

Totally agree, the realworld feel of Begins is great and I think adding that made it play better to current audiences and made it unique.

GB, Creech, either of you get any shipping info from Shawn, I haven't heard anything, but with Group 3 being invoiced, I would imagine 2 should be shipping soon.

"The figures for group #2 are shipping out tomorrow and Friday, so I'm ready to collect for #3. "

That's what I was thinking, but Shawn's been so awesome and doing so much to continually improve this thing, I don't even want to ask what's going on with the off chance he's doing more to make it even better. Part of me keeps hoping maybe he forgot to send ship emails and one day it'll just show up. Something else occurred to me, anyone know where Shawn's located? Paul? If he's in Cali near the fires, I know from my work that FedEx, DHL, UPS and presumably USPS services are shut down temporarily. If he's out there, I do hope he's ok, figures aren't worth harm from fire.

Yeah, I'm not worried about the wait, but hopefully he's okay... I hadn't thought about that. I just figured it was time to bumpity the thread from page 2.

And like you said, watching all the special features on the SE Batman really makes one chomp at the bit more for this figure. In looking at the movie and his figure you can see a lot of work and loving attention went into that bad boy

Indeed, I think I've watched the movie like 5 times over the last 2 weeks thinking about this figure, the movie doesn't get old, and the figure's going to rock I'm just super eager because I've been brainstorming my usual photography stuff for this one and I think it's going to be a blast, and I get a little on edge when creative ideas build up and I have no outlet for them.

Well if it makes you feel any better, just waiting for group 2, we're already seeing an improved headsculpt for our batch, being in a later group could benefit you with further improvements.

Hey, man. I FINALLY shipped out group #2 today. I hit a snag when my distributor shipped me the wrong rubber for the armor. Sorry about that! Group #3 in nearly done and should be out by the end of next week. Can you post this email for me in the thread? It's been a while since I had any new info to pass along. My confirmation email for my account STILL hasn't shown up, not sure what's up with that. Thanks!

Great news Guys! Awesome, Group 2 out, Group 3 nearly completed. Yee-haaaaaaaaa!!!!

You guys, can't wait to see the upgrade improvements! If they make a significant difference I may ask Shawn to replace my head... plus I now worry about puncturing the cape with some poses after seeing what happened to Coco's and y'all know what a stickler I am for accuracy, so I'll wait with baited breath. If I do replace it, I will also ask Shawn to paint his eyes hazel green like Keaton.
