Re: Keaton Batman

Batman has arrived!!!

I have to say he is one impressive f'n figure... in hand you can really feel and see the immense quality of this custom. This is really an excellent representation of Batman and looks great right alongside other custom and non-custom figures.

Sadly my camera batteries just died, but I'm charging as we speak so in about an hour I can post some shots for everyone... but seriously, if you are on the fence... get off it and order one. You will not be dissapointed :rock

How could NOT have had the batteries charged while you were awaiting his arrival?? :lol

Looking forward to more pictures soon!

Re: Keaton Batman

I know, I know :rotfl:rotfl:lol

I was actually using my camera this morning and left the damn thing connected to the computer, which prevents the auto-shutoff. Consequently the batteries are drained

Re: Keaton Batman

Glad to hear you're happy with him GB, look forward to seeing your pictures later.

I just checked my tracking, almost wish I hadn't sent him to my work, he arrived today too, oh well, he'll brighten my lousy first day back at work, always get a case of the Mondays.

Re: Keaton Batman

Come on Galactiboy, it has been over an hour already!

I need my new pics fix!! :D

Jeez, guess I should have clarified.
It takes an hour to charge... then I still have to take, edit and host the photos

But anywho... here's some shots. No futzing to the cape, so it'll probably look better after some work:

The eyes really are amazing, I added some light to hightlight them:

My only nit... would have liked the emblem to be a bit brighter yellow. But thats very minor.

And because someone asked for it... a comparison shot with other heroes. Personally if I had to choose between the Hot Toys Begins and this one, Shawn's would win hands down!

Re: Keaton Batman

Thanks Paul... and thanks to your diligence we're all getting these sweetass figures. I'm totally stoked about him. Now I have to clear some shelf space for him and the Joker :rock

Re: Keaton Batman

Thanks for the new pictures!

I love the comparison shot with the HT Batman Begins and Medicom Wolverine.

Re: Keaton Batman

Happy to oblige guys... I'll mess with the cape some and get some more shots posted. This figure is awesome!!!

Re: Keaton Batman

What's the safest method for treating the cape material for wrinkles and such without ruining the material?

Re: Keaton Batman

I'm using a hair dryer... seems to take care of most of the wrinkles and does it pretty fast. I got the idea from one of Paul's earlier posts.

Sorry if I'm being retentive here, but what do you suggest, like holding it a good distance away and just lightly blowing on it with the air to take the wrinkles out?

Re: Keaton Batman

I used the medium heat and low fan... and held it anywhere from 6 inches to a few inches away. That would seem to warm the material and allow it to relax the wrinkles. I would hold the bottom of the cape taught and I didn't notice any signs of damage, and anyway the air was hot enough to make my fingers hurt too much to continue after a bit.

Remember all hair dryers are different, so you'll want to experiment to see whats best.

Re: Keaton Batman

Great pics Joe! I'm soo excited to get this figure. Shawn is one of my peers and one of the people I looked up to when I got into this business. I've owned heads from him before but never a full figure, I'm very excited to get this one! Now I just need to get clothes for my Joker figure. :rock

Re: Keaton Batman

You won't be disappointed... Its seriously everything I could have hoped for. He really knocked it out of the park :rock

Re: Keaton Batman

Nice pics gboy and congrats on a great figure. Looks better than the HT Bats IMHO.:monkey3
I will be getting another one from Shawn with the improved head for sure now.
