Latex and Urethane are 2 different materials, so as for the v3 and higher (the ones he is using latex armor) we wont know it later how it will hold up.

Latex breaks down if exposed to sunlight a lot and from oils and grease (ie from fingers and hands). AT least this what I ve been told by Prop Makers. Another thing to consider is that in the movies they use FOAM latex, which might react more to the above conditions more then slip cast latex, the one I believe Shawn is using.

Slip cast is heavily used in halloween masks, so if you have an old latex halloween mask, that might be a good indicator at how this rubber will last.

Unfortunately I dont have any old Latex masks, so I cant say.

Hmm, makes me doubt if i want it.

I have a Darth Maul halloween mask from 1999 and it's still in perfect condition and I've washed it several times with a slightly moist paper towel (I used to fill it and display it like a bust) and it's still as good today as it was when I got it. I keep it wrapped in storage when not using it, but still. Hope that helps.

If you're strapped for the cash, you gotta do what you gotta do, but if you're just losing patience for waiting, hold out, the figure is great and if you really like Keaton as Batman in the 89 film, this figure is very rewarding to own.

Wise advice, I really need to take that into consideration, I've been waiting
for my Returns Batman for a couple of months and the wait is killing me.
Hopefully it will come soon because it looks worth it.

Just received my Keaton Batman today!!! Awesome figure well worth the wait. I don't know the difference between this and the V3 but it is one of the best figures I own and I own a Takara Batman, HT Batman, V2 Joker and 8 Hot Toys Predators!!! And some Sideshow stuff. Sorry no pics

Sorry, we all know that you are waiting for one of these figures. Well so are alot of other people, me included.

Seriously, it's not like you are waiting for a kidney transplant.

This thread is about this great custom figure, and if you do not want to wait for yours than that is your prerogative, however in my opinion I think it is something that you will regret. The more pictures I see the more I am prepared to wait to get this limited figure. This is an amazing figure for an even more amazing price. If it means waiting a little while to get him, then so be it.

If you have made the choice to cancel, than that is your choice, but don't get on here making negative comments now that people are starting to recieve their figures. If you are unhappy, then you need to pm Sovereign to get a resolution, don't come here making comments like you have for the past few pages.

Mate, it may seem that I am coming across a little strong, but everytime I see this thread updated on the front page, I immediately go to it expecting to see some great pics or info, but instead I am wasting time reading about you and your unhappiness. Like I said, enough is enough.

phoenixram1977 - Congrats on getting this great figure. From the sound of it, you are in a great position. You can compare this figure against other Batmans and The Joker. Make sure you post pics...please please

I have the Hot Toys Batman now, and I am expecting the Takara Batman next week, so I will be interested in seeing how he stacks up against them.

Zedex, My posts were not meant to make you feel bad or anything like that.
Or take away other peoples enthousiasm.
I still think it is a well made figure, never did I write anything else.

It is not that I am impatient, but it seems that people who came in later have received theirs and I am still waiting.

Just look at the list and try to understand my view.

I only wanted to give another more lifeththreatened collector the chance to take my kidney.

The first reason why I came across a little strong is because I thought that the first comment phoenixram1977 should get is after his post should be congratulations, not a negative comment. It probably makes him feel bad because now he might think he has done something wrong to you. That is how I would read it.

The second reason is because I WANT you to get this figure. I also have it on order and am so far down the list that I don't even appear on the list At least not on the last update. So if you are still waiting, imagine how I feel!

But, I know that if I cancel I will miss out on a great opportunity, and I don't want to see you miss out too. What is it going to take to make you wait for this figure. Maybe all the members need to arrange a group hug or maybe a mexican wave to help you stick with it.

Anyways, it is your choice.

Seems that since Shawn has reworked the figure again its taking longer for this batch to get out. I guess I was lucky in that the delay from the V1 and V2 (which I have) wasn't that long.

But still to those waiting, it is an awesome figure and one I proudly display. Never thought I'd get to have a Keaton Batman... not to mention also being able to get a kickass Nicholson Joker soon after

So Shawn didn't send you notice that it shipped out? I'd hate to not receive any notice, it could end up in Post Office limbo and I wouldn't know anything about it.

I'm going to have to contact Shawn then. I know he's busy but it's just inexcusable not to send any notice on a $130 figure

The difference I think is that V4 doesn't have the head stuck looking upward issues that V3 has.
V3 is on the left here, V1 on the right.

Note the slightly upward looking posture there.
I think Shawn cut some material out of the neck to remedy this issue.
