Re: Keaton Batman

isn't the chin a little more exposed than the v3 in yours sm? looks like some of the mask has been cut away. looks really really good. those pics are nice too. thanks!

Re: Keaton Batman

Thanks guys. I really had a hard time poseing this one, not being able to turn the head because the mask deforms a little really limits poseing options, that and I had a bad day today.

I'm not entirely sure. I looked for a V3 pic and I think this is one:

It seems the front neck of the mask on this one is a bit fuller like it has a bit of a "turkey neck". :dunno

If Shawn ever starts making resin heads again, I'll be sure to buy a copy because I prefer the appearance of that one. The mask just wants to do it's own thing in spite of the head movement a bit too much on mine.

I like the rubber cowl idea... but it does seem like the resin head was a little tighter looking.

Re: Keaton Batman

What a great looking figure, i'm so glad i ordered one. Can you make a pic where he spreads his cape like a bat?

AAAAAAAAAAAAHH! :banghead:banghead
Funny that you mention it, I tried for about 40 minutes to get that pose, but it just wasn't happing. Today was an off day.
I'll give it another shot on Sunday.

Re: Keaton Batman

That looks AWESOME screamingmetal! Just awesome. I can't tell if it's V4 or V3 either but it looks great just the same.

And don't let the non-existant neck articulation bug you because, remember, Keaton's actual suit had almost zero neck articulation anyway so the figure's lack of movement is screen acurate.

Re: Keaton Batman

Very true. Keaton had to move his body to look. I guess I should stop trying to move his head around and concentrate on his body posture.

Re: Keaton Batman

Glad to see you are happy with him screamingmetal. Well worth the wait. Nice poses in those pics too. Lookin good.

It's a very well done bust, but either the sculpting or painting of the eyes doesn't feel right for 1989 Batman, they have the wide, shocked look Keaton had often in Returns but in the first film they were almost squinted a lot of the time in conjunction with the ate something sour lip expression. A small detail on a large, awesome piece, but it does stand out a bit.

Re: Keaton Batman

The thing I am most impressed by, is the way the sculptor realized the texture of the cowl. He did some really insane work there, perfect.

Interestingly, that high point also leads to a low, the cape is missing that definining texture that made the cape so cool. It may have some texture but zoomed out as far as the shots are, it must be really small if it's there because the cape almost appears smooth.

Re: Keaton Batman
