Truly incredible. I love it, one of my top2 or 3 pieces I have, if not my favorite.

It looks great JS! Mine will be here tomorrow. This is the only fully sculpted piece I have still on order, with the exception of a few custom commissions. I can't wait to get this!

I posted this in another thread, but can you imagine some LOTR pieces made in a similar size?

The Balrog, The Battle Troll, the Fell Beast, and others would have been AMAZING like this. I LOVE that Weta is finally back to making BIG statues again (Kong v. Rex, Sauron) , and I can't wait to see what they have planned for the Hobbit. My fingers are crossed for a similar sized Smaug.

Matt I am really sorry about this so far yours the only to have had a problem. I find it kinda funny though as yours was actually the closest box to me. As you already know UPS will be buy to pick that Refrigerator box up from you.

This is by far the most MASSIVE statue I've got, as the pictures show.
Anything that can dwarf the Cave Troll has got some major SIZE to it.

Looks great guys. It was very impressive at SDCC. Not sure if I'd personally rank it higher than any of my LOTR pieces as far as fave but it's one hell of a piece in its own right.

Just got my VRex vs Kong today! The UPS delivery guy noted that it was a severely damaged box so I was really worried that it would have to go back to Fireside Bob. One of the bottom flap had almost been ripped completely apart and the rest of the box had gashes all over. Kinda like someboby had been desparate to get inside. Even the styrofoam corner supports for the inside box were broken apart and no longer "corners". The inside box was dinged only on one corner luckily. I held my breath as I opened the styrofoam container. Much to my surprise and utter amazement, it was perfect! Talk about effective packaging! Kudos to WETA/DarkHorse and of course, Bob (Sent to MV in TN)!

This statue is massive. I'm in awe. I know my wife is going to kill me for spending the $$, but it's the single best sculpture in my Kong collection and darn close to my entire LOTR collection as well. I also reccommend getting it if you have the $$ and the space. And yeah, I'd bite for a similarly sized Smaug if Weta is involed with the Hobbit film.
