Question: are the 50 hidden film reels marked on the map? I am somewhat clueless as to those - everything else from landmarks to newspapers to hidden vehicles are pretty easy to locate

Nop, you'll need a FAQ/Walkthrough or something

the facial animation is so insane in this game that in one cutscene l instantly recognised the character was the guy who was in a handful of sopranos episodes and knockaround guys. l also recognised the guy from the lord of the rings who played Feramiers dad.

This game isn't actually that long. Played it Friday night, some of Saturday, some of today and it's done. The ending was dissapponting and it felt so rushed. I think I prefer heavy rain to this. There isn't a whole lot of gameplay here either and choices that you make don't change the outcome at all. How dissapponting for a game that relys on an animation system which leads you to make a choice. Absolutely no incentive to play again so will be trading in for Dirt 3 tomorrow.

actually the choices at the end of an interrogation do have different endings.

example. l didn't charge a guy with murder. l said you can go. then he ran from the police station and l had to chase him. that wouldn't of happened if l charges him, or charged the other guy in the next room. choices do make different outcome. l beat the game already but will replay the first half again and see what else is different if l do things differently.

I don't know if this has been posted but , i just found this awesome video

Glad I just rented this game, learned my lesson with Red Dead.
I love the time period and location, so many things they nailed.
But its still not as interactive as I like.
Its amazing how far games have come, motion capture should be the way to go for all games here on out.

That's what I was afraid of.

At this point, Rockstar has done sandbox for so loing, that that's what I was expecting. Instead it's just 'get a case, solve a case, get a case, solve a case'. You're not given the opportunity to just drive around, and then go back to the station when you want another case.

Seeing that there's only 21 cases and I'm at #14, I'm just like "Really, it's almost over already??" I'm assuming they're going to add a lot more cases via DLC later.

As a side note, like a *******, I didn't realize the Badge Pursuit was 'actual' DLC, so I've been driving around like a maniac trying to find these badges and they're NOWHERE, then I watch the video walkthrough, and I realize, you have to actually enter the code to activate the challenge. . . . PSN, you BETTER be up tomorrow!!! Or I''m gonna be pissed. Rockstar's Gamestop DLC is friggin cursed with. First the Mo Van Barr glitch with RDR, now PSN is down so I can't get my pre-order bonus

:gah:

L.A Noire initially going to be longer, however Rockstar ended up removing 2 full departments: Theft department and Fraud Department... But I still think that will be released in the future as a EXPANSION (like GTA4 LC stories or RDR the dead's Nightmare) or DLC... Who Knows??:dunno

that would be cool. l didn't like the crimes department though.

I recognized Greg Grunberg instantly as well.

Yeah me too, and the kid toucher was the kid from Can't Buy Me Love, Patrick Dempsey's friend. The one who's doorstep you put the flaming poop on. Also the Captain in the Traffic department was in some stuff too, maybe Band of Brothers. Awesome game, although I have to excuse my 3 year old out of the room because it's a little too hardcore in violence department. Very realistic.

How did this game get delayed almost a year and still have so little to do and so much eliminated?

Sure this stuff might be available as a DLC later, but why should we have to pay extra to get a full game's worth?

This and Red Dead are awesome. Most owns IMO.

Completed the story mode and the street crimes. Still have to find about 35 cars and all 50 reels. Plus any DLC cases (one of which there's an achievement for that I can't get yet) along with replaying cases to get 5 stars on all of them. This game has plenty of replay value left plus I'm sure there's going to be multiple DLC coming out.

The truth/doubt/lie thing is starting to bug me. Sometimes its really hard to tell. A lot of the time they look truthful or tell you something that someone else told you and when you select truth it is wrong. Or you doubt and piss them off and are wrong. Really confusing how this works.
