Jesus that looks incredible! Les is still the master... just... I have no words!! We really need more pics though man share the wealth we need to live vicariously trough you. I hate my Indy PF now haha.

Thanks for the posted pic IF! He looks better than I thought. I have NO idea how PFs look when finished...

In response to an offer to come up for my presentation:

Hell yeah! Come on up! I would love some of you guys to show. It would balance the odds with some of the less-than-knowledgeables who printed THIS in our local paper about it....(my comments added)

The monthly meeting for the art guild will be held Tuesday at the Okefenokee Heritage Center meeting room at 7pm.
The program this month will be presented by Les Walker, nationally and internationally known
 for his hand painted figures. His subject will be "The Varied Dimensions of Custom Crafted Figures (and they added) and Dolls" Yuck! :monkey4
He will have his work displayed and will show how he accomplishes his work. (and this last line is one that killed me!) His favorite work is dressing and painting famous movie stars.
:lol
I never knew I had actual access to the rich and famous! Rock on! But it sounds so... "little girly"... Dresses...

Ya gotta love local small-town newspapers.

Anyway, funny yokels aside, it will be fun, and a great way to educate non-collectors about what we do, and why we do it, and why it can be an ART and not just a Hobby or for FUN....although...it is those things too...:rock

Oh well...let me get back to it.
Miguel, hang on buddy! Your's is in there, with a TON of others ahead of you, so just hang on. SO much finished stuff is coming, even I am having to put them somewhere to get them out of the way while I work. Until I can pack and ship them all out....Look for serious updates folks. I mean it.
I am, as they say in the South, "Eat up" with heads and figures! :D

More as I have it!

Now thats Indy! Awsome job again Les. You really get a different feeling when seeing them on the bodies. It brings them in a whole other light. :bow

Could not agree more Josh. Les knocked this one out of the park!

Now, in an effort to share a few more pics, here's a couple of comparison shots between the SS paint apps on the hatless head, and Les' repaint of the hatted head. I snapped this right after I opened the package and marveled a while at the detail of Les' repaint. :D

Notice how "grey" the factory apps appear. Les and I were talking about this last night. :lol

And what the hell, let's put the beauty shot back in here for good measure:

Wow, I didn't realize Les painted the chest hairs on it too, never saw that low, damn great work.

I know! That's attention to detail. I was floored when I first saw that! :rock

Here's a couple of nice close-ups of the head on the body. I just can't get over how great this thing is! It's like it's turned my ROTLA Indy into a whole new PF...but even better! :gun

Wow. thanks G.
Nice pics. Get some without a flash too, so it's not so shiney as that (another talking point we discussed!)

And to make a minor correction, I DO seriously want to repaint PF's, like crazy! Just not RIGHT NOW! :D As in, I got so much else still on my plate, and am catching it up. But when that is caught up, and done, and gone, OH YEAH! Bring 'em on! I would love to JUST paint PF's if I could.
Loved painting this one. Got another one in hand already, to be done when I can, so yeah, I do want to, just need to put it all in perspective is all.

Thanks for the opportunity to repaint your's. It was a load of fun, and liberating too. It's a TREMENDOUS sculpt by Trevor, and was a pleasure to paint. I really like the larger size, as it allows for so much more detail.

Hope I get a lot more requests for that kind of work later on. :rock

Oh, and Geoff, Indy needs a sweat stained shirt now! Would really help to sell it I think.

You got it Les, That's in the plans for this weekend. Hopefully I can snap some nice pics with some good natural daylight, really show it off! It's true, all that shine isn't really there folks, but because I picked up the head after work, it was night time when I finally got to taking some pics, thus the dreaded FLASH reared it's ugly head. :lol

This is why you are the FIGUREMASTER! Keep rockin' it Les!!! :rock :rock :rock

This is a DEFINITE Les. The shirt is WAY too clean. Needs a bit of a tea-bath and some stains here and there. That's the plan when I replace the jacket with (hopefully) Sovereign Shawn's 1/4 Indy jacket down the road...:naughty

Whats funny about the comparison is that (at least on mine) the paint work on the exclusive head is actually better than the regular. So the difference between start and finish might be even more dramatic.

Was up til 3am both Saturday and last night, getting a lot of stuff ready for photos for today. The photos are for 8x10s for me to take to my presentation tomorrow night. I got more shots of about 20 of my custom figures, than I have ever had done at one time. Not whole collection stuff, just some of my favorite personal custom figures (that I still personally own), so it's been one crazy weekend.
I'll be using those shots tomorrow mostly, but if I get any digital copies, I will post some here. Old figures mostly, but some you guys haven't seen ever, and some that I just wanted shot better.
Planning to follow this shoot up with one by Maulfan soon, but until then, these are pretty killer. Glad I got that lightbox tent that Customikey referred me to. It works!!!

Anyway, that and lots of heads coming soon! I had a couple of the heads photographed, just for fun, and one or two figures. A shot of me at my workdesk working on KL241's upcoming Superman also. (Not long now, K! Just the boots now! Not much longer!). Got some variety shots also. Might be a few days before I have the shots in hand to post though.

So, I'll be back to it and here again, after tomorrow night. Off to get supplies for this thing, foamcore to display the printed pics on (can't get a screen and computer/projector...going old school!) and have chosen 16 of my favorite figures to take in person. Gonna be a wild day for me! Scary transporting so many figures....:monkey1

All this, and I am still painting for you guys also! LOTS coming! More than ever!
Like Indy says, TRUST ME! It's gonna be an unreal amount of stuff! :rock

Well even if Les can't get his stuff posted, I will be shooting more of his work in the not too distant future :rock
