Seriously Les, I can't wait to hear how this goes down. Sounds like you've put together a really, really cool presentation. Can't wait to hear what people have to say once you 'enlighten' them...

"WOW, Who knew there was so much incredible art involved...all this time I thought they were just dolls..." :lol

"...just dolls..." :rolleyes::D

Well even if Les can't get his stuff posted, I will be shooting more of his work in the not too distant future :rock

:rock
Absolutely Sean!
At least I have learned that, in the meantime, my local friend Dana is a decent photog, and is really excited about taking the pics she is, but even she knows, I'm saving the best for Maulfan's lenses!

However, if I do post any of her shots, they will be limited to my website, something I worked out with her, and will most likely do with Maulfan also.
I may can post a couple here though. :naughty

Anyway, thanks and know you guys will be mentioned, (not by name...individually....I don't think...lol...but as a group) as you are all part of who I am with all this. Can't wait to explain to the locals just what it is we really do. (And collect...) Up to now, they just don't get it! :banghead Maybe when I'm done they will. We'll see!

The Heritage Center presentation went well last night. I posted a new thread in the Other Topics section, so go there to read more about it!

MY PRESENTATION DETAILS!

Back to the saltmines today and this week, so look for more updates as soon as I can!
I think I can see some light at the end of the tunnel, so lots of stuff to come!

I can't help thinking all those 8x10s look like mug shots up on a police wall keeping tracking of criminals, particularly the Joker board, very cool though, glad it all worked out, and compared to Josh's Halloween party you're rocking the weight loss too :rock

Les that looks great nice work! You look healtheir these days too man, way to go!

Just love those pirates!! Where did they come from how come i never saw those before??

Would have loves to be there to see all your work up close in person!

Amazing presentation Les, nice work! Love the 8X10 close-ups, and the shot of Indy and the Pirates especially! That's some bang-up work on customizing Will and Liz to be DMC versions. :D

It's really awesome that you got the hobby out to the masses like that. Glad everyone was well-behaved and didn't touch any of the 'masterpieces'. :D

Glad to see so many on the boards giving you props for your weight loss too. Great work Les! :whip

Sorry I haven't posted the Pirates before now! I forgot!!! I'll get some pics soon and do that. They've been some along and along'ers for me. Works in progress. The Jack's not done yet. The Liz has been REALLY fun to work on, only her head is a HT part, and the Will is some seriously revamped elcheapo Zizzle figure parts all moved and reworked, etc. Got more to do with him before I can post pics. These are taking a really long time! (Work delays anything I do for me. Understandably!) I just thought they'd be recognizable to the Art guild members.

Thanks about the weight loss guys. I still hate my belly! LOL! Look like Santa still!

Wish I could've been there to see that presentation and see those figures in person.

You have got to show us more pictures of Jack Sparrow. That absolutely blew me away when I saw it. Best Jack custom ever.

Les, that Indy repaint is just stunning. Really shows up what a brilliant sculpt it was by Trevor. Yes another 10 out of 10 paint job... well done sir!!! :rock

Awesome Job Les! Absolutely love your Indy and POTC Jack and Elizabeth!! Amazing stuff...hopefully you helped a few more people 'understand'...:lol

Nice Les! I'm still wishing I could have made it up for the presentation but work just wouldn't let me slip out for it.

By the way how did you get the outfit for Swann?

Awesome Les. So happy for you.

You are looking good bud. Keep up the walking and workout.

great to hear it went so well Les !. :rock
Awesome how they thought the heads were the real actors , I've thought that a few times with photos of your work.:lol:rock

Wow. Thanks everyone. I was pretty proud to be able to represent ALL of us in a function like that. It was amazingly cathartic to be able to defend what we do to people that normally, otherwise, kinda look down on. You know, the kinds of comments we can get. At least that I do! LOL! Imagine the responses when I answer the question, "So Les, what is it that you do exactly?" 'Cause let me tell ya, sometimes, it's that blank stare and crickets!

Anyway, thanks guys. Was nice to be able to share about you guys too. That is something I don't get to do very often, so it was worth it.

Speaking of weight loss, here's a shot I cobbled up of me from October/November (before I got sick as a dog Christmas eve) and the other night.

I think I see some neck appearing there! LOL!

ANYWAY.......

Back to work! I got some to ship out today, then broker'n snot, then make more money, then ship more! Painting like a madman all the way!
Got more updates soon, with Bales and Jokers and Preds and bodies and just...lots of stuff...so hang on!
And again, thanks guys. Means a lot to me, that it means a lot to you.
