After XLS. And it's absolutely NOT connected to DoFP. DoFP is a sequel to "First Class" which was a reboot. FOX just ****ed up.

Except it is connected :lol

But I agree Fox ****ed up by forcing these things which caused a lot of problems so they can have their own little MCU.

But the end of the movie clearly leads to DOFP.

First Class was supposed to be a reboot until Singer came back. Young Erik's first scene is pretty much the same as X1. But I'm sure it makes you feel better to think it is a reboot :lol

If one wanted to marathon the X films, what order would you suggest?

FC
DOFP
x1-3
???
???

I would just watch them in release order, but there's more bad FoX-Men films than good so I wouldn't recommend doing a marathon :lol

I guess do X1-X3 and then FC, DOFP and Apocalypse. Neither Wolverine film is needed. Hell people don't need to watch any of the Wolverine films going into Logan I bet :lol

It has ProX and Mag askin' Logan to help them with "dark forces building weapon to end our kind". I can think of 10000000000000000000000 stories from that not related to DoFP in any way. Also DoFP begins with a postapoc kind of "future" so if it was part of original continuity both Charles and Erik would be dead of old age. And none of it matters because of the Mystique plot hole the size of a Hypergiant star. :lol

There's a shot clearly showing us a TV and Trask industries, then Mags talks about a weapon that could bring the end of mutants and the next movie clearly begins with weapons created bringing the extinction of mutants that were created by Trask industries. We really having this debate? :lol

DOFP takes place in 2024 I think? I don't see how Prof X or Magneto would need to be dead of old age.

What was the Mystique plot hole?

Eh, they're all still sort of still canon. Wolverine from DOFP and Prof X I believe are the only people that remember what happened in the previous trilogy, and considering they're both in Logan, I'd say the original films are still important to the stories.

This movie is looking to bury every other CBM this year. We may [finally] have another TDK here.

I understand to a degree why people use TDK as reference that takes a series to the next level... but honestly I think TDK hasn't aged well at all and in hindsight isn't good at all aside from Joker.

So, only use ESB from now on :lecture

I'm still undecided on whether to think this will be any good mind you.

That's a bold statement , sir. I will save it.

Pretty funny this article comes out today. Reynolds thinks this could be nominated for an Oscar based on what he saw, and thought TDK was snubbed from the Oscars.

I doubt this will be oscar worthy but I’m pretty confident it’ll at least be the best superhero movie of the year.

Especially when you look at the other nominees that year, like The Reader which had a 61% on RT compared to TDK's 94'% critic approval.

If the studio felt that Logan was oscar worthy it would've changed its release date to oscar bait season, which is not March lol.

I sense no confidence lol.
