Okay, I wouldn't want to see a short Wolverine. Tom Hardy's height is perfect, and he's not short. If they had someone shorter, it would look awkward on screen. I think 5ft 9in is the perfect height.

Tom hardy once said, "I'm not big enough to be the Punisher, I'm 5'9!" I wish they give him the Wolverine role. I think he would like it.

I've met Hardy. He's about 5'5".

The actor is important but I feel there is another critical component that is being neglected in these discussions.

Wolverine's body movement during combat.

No matter which actor you get their berserker rage will still have human qualities therefore it will look the same as Jackman's which is slow and lumbering.

Arms will still look like arms, swinging away...just like Jackman.

There needs to be a change in that.

I want to see the live version of the Capcom videogames.

I don't know, explain it that when he goes into rage mode his mutant powers give him super speed.

He needs to almost be a blur during his berserker rage scenes so that they stand out as something unique to his character instead of just a guy who can swing knives around like any person holding a kitchen knife can do.

He needs to be more than just pturtle holding a knife yelling like a mad man.

He needs to be a super (fast) weapon.

Or else no matter the actor....it will be "oh look he's swinging his blades around just like Jackman"....yawn.

Also make him a special attack character, no more the primary focus.

He should be a combo of Billy from Predator, the sniffing barbarian (Franco Columbu) from Conan the Barbarian and the shape from Halloween 1.

You would have to get a martial arts actor or MMA fighter to play that role.

Say no more fam, he's our guy.

It is the most famous/fan adored fancast ATM, but dunno if he'd be open to it. You need a damn strict diet for it. Then again, Taboo is his passion project, and he has to stay fit for that as well, so I guess it'd be a "kill two birds with one stone" type of deal. Give him a mix of the Ultimate & Anka costumes with cues either from the 90s or 80s looks, and you're set. He could play the role in his sleep TBH.

... there is no way in hell Hardy is 5'5'' lol
He's 5'7". That's a fact.

Toby Stephens would make a mean Magneto.
Jon Hamm for Tony Stark.

Well, CGI could help with that, but you can't get:

A) A good actor.

B) A short actor.

C) A stocky actor.

D) A gruff actor.

E) An actor that's fast as hell when going berserker.

You have to compromise at some point. The X-Men Anime had a pretty cool berserker rage scene:

.

I always loved his rage build up there but then it's over before you know it.

But the eyes and claws are super cool.

I'm 5'11". My best friend who was with me when I met him is 5'6" and about an inch and a half taller than Hardy. He's a little dude.
Tremendous actor though and would make a great Wolvie in 7-8 years.

Are you sure? Gary Oldman is about 5ft8in. In this pic, Gary does look a little shorter or maybe the same height as Tom Hardy.

Your measuring must be off. I've seen Hardy next to Shia Labeouf , Cilllian Murphy, Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordoon Levitt and several other actors....and actresses.

It's impossible for him to be that short. Tom Cruise is 5'7'' and half and people make fun of his height.

I just saw a pic of Hardy next to Guy Pearce and he's a little shorter. He's not wearing lifts either. He's a weak 5'9'', closer to 5'8''.

5'5'' is Daniel Radcliffe territory.

Dude, I love Hardy and have nothing to gain from making him sound short. I know someone's height when I'm standing in front of them and shaking their hand. He had sneakers on and was exactly the same height as my Dad who's 5'5". And again, my friend Nick who was with me is 5'6". All we could talk about afterwards was how shocked we were that he was so little.

Super nice guy who oozes charisma. Strong handshake too which is always reassuring lol

:lol:lol

I'm sure you have nothing to gain, and neither do I, but either your dad and your friend are taller than 5'6, or you met some other guy pretending to be Hardy. :lol

Let's look at it logically.

If Hardy is 5'5'' and wears lifts that means that at best he'll be 5'7...maybe 5'8'.

If that's the case, if he stands next to other actors wearing shoes and he looks the same height or a little taller, then it means ALL those actors are 5'5' or 5'6'....

So you're telling me all those actors, like Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellen are 5'5'' to 5'6''? Come on.

Maybe you met his look alike. I cant find out how tall he is though.
