I think Hardy overall would be the best choice since he's a talented actor, he has a fanbase, and looks the part, but I don't see how Edgerton isn't right for the part, his build is similar to Hardy's, he's a great actor and is the right age to play Wolverine. He's not a pretty boy like everyone else being suggested either.

I liked your Statham analysis, might work.

Joel I think is too soft of a person overall in look and personality but I guess he could be made to work.

I don't think Efron is the worst actor in the world, but I don't think he's talented enough to transform himself into Wolverine like Hugh did. I really don't think he can even pull off a decent Wolverine voice. He also doesn't have the build for it, Wolverine should be compact and stocky. The whole pretty boy thing I don't care about because they can making him look rough like they do with Hugh, I just don't think he has the acting talent to really pull that off.

Joel is probably soft in real life but he's an actor. I mean, there's nobody in hollyweird more soft than Hugh Jackman right now. I've seen him play a few roles where's he's a tough guy, and he plays it just fine. Overall though the look isn't something I'm that worried about, I prefer if the actor is talented, and Edgerton is one of the best actors working today in my opinion. I do think in terms of looks, he can suit Wolverine just fine, I don't see what he's lacking.

Hardy and Joel were my main picks, but now I just want to see a Statham Wolverine movie

These were some suggestions on who could be good as the Wolverine on this one website. Actors that interested me were Aaron Paul, Travis Fimmel, Toby Kebbell, and of course Tom Hardy. I would really like Aaron Paul as Wolvie. He has that voice, and he's probably only 5ft 9in which I think is just right.

Oh shoot, he's perfect. He's only 5ft 7in tall, 7.75inch to be exact.

I never wanted Cumberbatch for Batman, or did I? I can't remember but I've never been a Cumberbatch fan, I don't see why I would recommend him

You cant find an actor that has all the characteristics you're looking for; it'll take a lifetime. He is only 5ft 7in tall, isnt that enough? He's also a pretty good actor.

He's small and relatively weak, and exudes a hesitant, emotional fragility. Maybe he could be Doug Ramsay if you wanted to put him in the X-verse. I'm sure he could play against type, but there's only so much you can do there.

Looks like right now Jason Statham will be our new Wolvie. He's got the attitude and look, I just don't think he has the acting ability unfortunately.

Though he's played military guys and an MMA fighter, I think Edgerton is too serene. His flying off the handle would seem awkward and unrealistic. Hardy would be a better choice.

Statham is a terrible actor, so pass on that one.

Maybe you're right. I've only seen a couple of his movies. The last house on the left (played a creep and i thought he did a very good job playing as a creep), NFS, and Exodus. Maybe you're right. It seems you have a more better understanding of the Wolverine character than I do.
