Regardless of continuity Logan made the already decent X1/X2/FC/DOFP/Wolverine even more enjoyable.

Hell it even improved X3.

Me, enjoying and praising the XM movies.

Damn Logan was good.

Now, can Fox please give me a fully costumed Wolverine already, please.

We've endured enough of the jeans and tshirt wearing Wolverine, 17 years worth, we've earned a costumed Wolverine, no?

I don't care how or why it's done just do it.

Agreed. And I think it's gonna happen sooner rather than later. My corresponding hope is that he isn't thrust into the limelight like Jackman was, but can just be one member on the team who is an unpredictable bad-ass and has bad-ass scenes. Sometimes less is more. This is part of why Wolvie first became Marvel's 2nd biggest character, and I think Fox could capitalize on that by not making him the star of every X-Men movie going forward. Reminds me of the '90s, when he was either starring in or guest starring in about 80% of the comics released in a given month. They even made him a member of the Fantastic Four at one point :lol

But realistically, when someone knows where their bread is buttered, that's not how it happens.

DP2 will grant your wish in two years.

You have the solution kara, that's the Wolverine I want.

In the shadows a super weapon with minimal dialogue.

No lengthy monologues on world peace and brotherly love.

I hope you're right Snikt.

Logan is a fantastic standalone story, it was definitely worth making and us seeing it. However, as I think Khev brought up before, I do have trouble with the idea that despite everything they went through in the previous films, it all still went so badly.

Yes, right now I'd say that Alien 3, The Force Awakens, and Logan are all cut from the same cloth. Enjoyable as alternate non-canon downer sequels.

That Citizen Kane is such a POS. Telling us the guy is dead at the beginning. Who the **** wants to watch that **** at that point? WE ALL KNOW WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN!!!

When Bill Paxton's team showed that animated schematic of the Titanic sinking at the beginning of the movie I was all "got it, I'm out" and I left the theater since I knew what was going to happen at that point.

I hope you're right Snikt.

Because just one of those things managed to wipe out my entire crew in less than twenty f----!!!!! Oops, sorry, nevermind, carry on.

So, any idea how they'll bring a new wolvie actor in? will it be another X dimension? are they rebooting everything except for deadpool? how is this **** gonna link up fam? :lol

Might as well just introduce him in the '90s film as if he's a new character we've never seen before. Wouldn't be out of line with the way the franchise has done things so far.

Or, just have him be more or less the Wolvie we see in Apocalypse, who a few of the team are only a little aware of from the time travel exposure to him in DOFP and the recruitment effort in First Class. He would obviously be a younger guy, but. . .that's something they could easily ignore as they have with Prof. X and Magneto.

No new Wolvie for a long time per Simon Kinberg. No rebooting either of any kind.

-Josh Boone's New Mutants & Kinberg's X-Men: The Phoenix Saga are both set in the early 90s (nearly 40 years before Logan).

-David Leitch's Deadpool 2 & Joe Carnahan's X-Force are present-day films.

So the franchise continues to exist in two time periods: The PG-13 90s and the R-rated present day.

I bet one year max.

Kinberg pretty much suggested 7 years. They basically have 10 films planned through 2024 and Wolverine isn't a part of any of them.

What they're doing is unofficially retiring the character with Jackman, which is intelligent because no actor would wanna try to live up to his legacy at this point if the franchise is still going.

In other words until the franchise reboots don't expect another actor to don the claws.

I probably will actually buy this when it comes out, with whoever is giving it the best bells and whistles. I did with the last few X-movies.* But I con't care about the aluminum packaging.

*one exception is Deadpool, which I enjoyed quite a bit, but recognize as the empty calories that it is. Will be a pretty long time before I feel compelled to watch it again.

Money talks...there will be a reboot way before then
