I assume it's just the age of all these girls that they think are so hot. :dunno

Wait, there's uh... an uh... a knock on the, uh, door...

Didn't Fox Men Wolvie survive drowning, adamantium bullet to the brain (Origins), time traveling, atomic bomb burning and radiation, and the power of the Phoenix?

I agree with darthkostis.

11 can hurt 23, but I don't think she can kill her, so...it could be a draw if 23 can't get close enough to kill 11.
I forgot about origins, drowning and burning is one thing, after all X24 did die of an adamantium bullet to the brain, so I doubt they would survive being blown up.

And Jean was clearly holding back, like she was just peeling off skin.

I don't see a big difference between Stranger Things monster and movie Wolverine/x23, they do the same thing, slice and dice armed military men and run around in the forest.

X-24 didn't have the original Wolvie's healing factor, which explains the bullet working in Logan (film).

Does the stranger things monster have Wolvie's healing factor and indestructible skeleton which protects the brain and other organs?

Jean was not holding back initially and her initial attack was strong enough to disintegrate multiple people, a helicopter, and buildings while all it did was destroy Logan's costume...except his pants :lol His skin and muscles would burn away exposing the metal, but it would heal instantly.

Also, Logan can survive and move while Xavier kills or paralyzes everyone else during his seizures.

The difference is one's hetero and one's not.

Here we are three weeks later and there are still people who feel the villains were underwhelming, the plot too small and the deaths of both Logan and Xavier too subtle. But those are exactly the reactions Mangold was trying to elicit by not having a massive CG spectacle to close out the third act or having Sinister come out of nowhere and reveal himself to be Rice's boss and the "main villain".

I don't get this train of thought, to subtle? what's subtle about X24 claw punching him in the chest? :lol

I think people wanted something like this

Or something as grandiose.

But again, Mangold went the minimalist route (like No Country for Old Men) and gave Wolverine a quiet death. Nothing big or memorable. Just a guy bleeding out while holding his daughter's hand. Reminded a bit of DeNiro's death in Heat.

I admit that I felt that Xavier's death was a bit too subtle. I would have liked to have seen something more in line with the main bad guy's death at the end of True Lies which would have been much more fitting and bittersweet IMO.

Logan's ending was far from subtle or quiet.

It was an X3 battle with mutants using their powers against soldiers and a Wolverine clone.

I don't have a problem with it, and it could have been a lot more over the top, but quiet or artistic? Nah..

If Mangold really wanted an "artistic", subtle ending, he would have skipped some of the battle and super power moments.

No Country for Old Men had a subtle quiet ending after the film suggest a big final battle.

This is a subtle ending...to a character *Boardwalk Empire spoiler*

Killing Xavier was shocking and a good twist, but imagine an alternate scenario in which Xavier doesn't die in the farmhouse, and instead at the end of the film, he uses his powers one more time to make a dying Logan see a happy moment...maybe all of them on the boat escaping, finally free as he watches the sunset and that's the last thing Logan sees.

Kind of like the ending of Carlito's Way.

DOFP already ended with Logan getting the warm and fuzzy epilogue though. I would think that Logan would prefer to be "in the moment" when he finally checked out, for better or worse.
