Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

Im worried how this will turn out. Its the same team from the last wolverine movie right? It was very disappointing. I enjoyed Origins (minus Deadpool) alot more.

The lst movie had soo much potential, and it was completely wasted. Ball dropped. Lets hope its not the case here

Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

The only good part of The Wolverine was the name of the movie. :lol

I kid, I liked when the asian girl first called him The Wolverine and also his battle with Shingen.

The train part was ok I guess, good concept but not well executed.

He better wear his costume in his final movie.

That black trench coat in The Wolverine looked dumb on him.

Same creative team - but with much more creative freedom.

Aronofsky walked from The Wolverine over content censorship. Mangold played ball and dealt with it even though it clearly compromised the film.

This time around the censorship is gone so the beast is finally outta the cage.

From the Louisiana shoot. This reveals the DP.

Among the films shot by John Mathieson are Gladiator, Hannibal (2001), Kingdom of Heaven, Robin Hood (2010) and X-Men: First Class.

Excellent choice.

The only non costume look I liked was the New X-Men one

Hugh Jackman always looks great in the movies

Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

So is the theory that Sinister will be in this film and not the next X-Men film? And we should get introduced to X-23 in this film?

That's what the Apocalypse stinger points towards.

Rumors of Richard Grant playing a mad scientist is W3 started last month so ESSEX Corp. showing up to collect Wolvie's blood confirm Sinister's involvement and X-23's also.

Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

I can't see them making Sinister the main baddie in a Wolvie solo movie. I think he's too big a villain for that. I can see him being used behind the scenes in Wolvie 3 and then making a grand appearance in the next X-flick.

Agreed on him being a better X-Men villain but the circumstances here warrant them using him. This film takes place a while after the 2023 end scene of DOFP. Probably 20 years later based on the white hairs in Jackman's beard (and the OLD MAN LOGAN title)

Sinister may have already fought the X-Men by the time he faces Wolverine in OLD MAN LOGAN.

Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

So Wolverine 3 would be a remake of Wolverine: Origins after the timeline reboot? I don't see them doing another Wolverine film in the eighties, especially with Stewart as a Prof. X. I think Sinister will be for the 90's X-men storyline movie and not Wolverine unless they've confused themselves too much with the timelines now and don't know who should be playing who :lol

Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

If he does it'll be in the final shot, then credits roll. Because 6 prior movies weren't enough lead-in time.

:lol :lol

Wow will you just look at how freaking bad ass he.....CREDITS!

:lol :lol

They have more timelines now than even DC. :lol

Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

Well if Sinister is ageless or they use two actors he can be the baddie for both, escape the X Men in the 90s only to have Wolverine kill him in the future. :lol

This is very true if they stick to that timeline.

Wolverine 3/OML has nothing to do with X-Men Origins.

This movie takes place decades after DOFP's 2023 ending.

Just because Sinister will fight Wolverine in this movie doesn't mean the X-Men can't fight him in a later film that takes place long before OML.

Re: WOLVERINE (March 3rd 2017)

Aside from Magneto, haven't they killed off EVERY big villain they've encountered? Styker, Shaw, Sentinels, Apocalypse? Other than keeping Magneto around to possibly bring him back to the light side of the Force, they seem to just have one-shot villains. So I doubt Sinister will be any different. If he is, that would imply he's more powerful that Apocalypse and up there with Magneto. So he's either in the next x-men movie or it took like 40 or 60 years for him to come to power. Which goes back to the whole timeline screw ups. I'm not sure they even know what they're doing with them anymore. Sure they fixed some things, but it makes casual views confused what is canon and what isn't anymore. Hinting at Sinister in the 80's only for him to show up in the 2030's or 40's is a very strange way of doing things. And wouldn't Prof. X be like over a 100 years old by then? DoFP got rid of the bad future, so they could theoredically do anything from the 80's onward and be OK canonically.

I'm personally hoping for a new and improved Juggernaut to show up eventually. Even Blob was better in Apocalypse than in Origins :lol And we still don't know where Deadpool fits in the time line!
