I enjoyed Logan very much but it's a What If... story to me and that's how I'll always see it.

Edit:

I've always felt that Fox either A) didn't give a **** about continuity or B) was lazy and continuity could go screw itself.

I finally saw this crap on Blu Ray. Someone... please tell me that it takes place in an alternate universe, and isn't canon to the X-Men movies. The entire tone of Logan is so jarringly surreal, and there are hardly any explanations of what happened to the other X-Men (except that Xavier had a brain seizure and killed them all?).

I kinda want to forget that I ever saw this. DOFP was a perfect send-off for the franchise, in my opinion.

You just don't understand man, it's rated R! It was just too deep for you. It's a mock western and you just didn't get it you filthy casual.

Kidding, you echo my thoughts.

DOFP should of been the true end and should of moved completely away from the old cast afterward, but they stuck Jackman in Apoopalypse. Brogan is just okay. I don't care to ever watch it again. They only made Jackman look cool, but that cannot carry an entire film.

Maybe the X-Men are just destined to die. :dunno

No, just the hopes and dreams of anyone thinking they'll get actual good outfits under Fox. And after Apoc, good films are out of the question too. I never wanted Disney to get the rights because it won't be aimed at maturer audiences anymore, but at this point I really don't care. Fox hasn't put out a good X-Men film since 2003.

Yeah, I kind of see it that way. The X-Men has always been one of the darker comics out there. They are a team built out of the bigotry and hatred of others, and they have encountered tragedy over and over and over again. Frankly, the Logan outcome, which of course does have a hint of optimism at the very end, is more in line with what the X-Men are about than is Days of Future Past in my mind. A dystopian future seems fairly inevitable to me in general, given how short sighted human beings are, the spread of nuclear weapons, the potential for super bugs that are immune to any cure, widespread environmental devastation, etc. And I think the X-Men takes a more unflinching look at the realities of our world than other comics, that are ultimately more unrealistically optimistic.

It's retarded. Without a doubt the most overhyped and overrated cbm of all time. The fact that some reviewers said it was better than the dark knight is straight laughable. I was really looking forward to this too, especially with the R rating.

It took me multiple viewings to see that the bad guy poisoned the food supply isolating and targeting the mutant strand to wipe them all out, which is super clever, but yes it leaves multiple what if moments

And no mutant picked up on that. Wow. They are afavanced beings. Poisoning there food shouldn't kill them all.

Very happy to see Logan break the ceiling for the CBM genre in landing an Academy Award Nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.

Goes to show the freedom Mangold had via FOX allowed a Neo-Western starring Wolverine to transcend in a genre where very few films do.

The CBM evolved today via Logan.

Awesome. Nothing for Stewart or Jackman though? Shame.
