I think the problem is calling the flick Logan. Public ain't going to have any clue what that is. Needs Wolverine in the title. Wovlerine: Old Man Logan or Wolverine: Jackmans Last ******* or something.

About the same if Affleck tweeted the new Batman movie was going to be called Bruce.

:lol:lol

You don't think his claws are enough?

The LOGAN title is great. Very evocative of Besson's LEON, also about a master killer protecting a young girl.

I think Logan : jackmans last ******* works. If you look at the poster carefully you can clearly see that his jacking days are over . As he has a kid now.

While I like the title on an artistic level I can see how Logan might be difficult to sell at the marketing level.

But that's not my problem now is it lol.

I guess the focus groups got tired of the Wolverine name.

Yikes...

This morning we were treated with a title, poster and mission statement regarding Hugh Jackman’s final Wolverine film, Logan. You can check out all that stuff here, or you could just enjoy this summation: Wolverine says “****” in the first minutes of the film and holds a girl’s hand at some point in the movie.

Now The Wrap’s Umberto Gonzalez has a whole lot of information to help us put these pieces together. If you don’t want to know what the movie is about, consider the following a fiery spoiler hell.

According to Gonzalez, the film takes place in 2024, a time when mutant births are in decline and a pesky government organization is using what mutant children they do have as killing machines. Wolverine ends up taking care of a kid who is basically X-23, a girl with two Wolverine-like claws.

But that’s not all! Wolverine is sick and old and not healing much anymore. He drives a limo. He also (with the help of an albino mutant named Caliban - played by Stephen Merchant) has to take care of Professor X, who is now old and unstable and seemingly senile.

So… sounds like a lot of fun! Actually, no, it sounds like a huge bummer. But it could be interesting. An old Logan who is weak and can no longer heal might be exactly what this series needs to generate actual tension. It also feels likely to make the finality of this entry somewhat certain, if you catch my drift. I hope the movie ends with Logan and Charles embracing each other as they slip into the cold clutches of death, but that’s just me.

Uh...

FOX really doesn't get it... at all.

Yup, they don't.

Just realized that this movie right around the corner. Dang. Don't know how I missed that. :lol I was thinking late 2017 release.

Can't wait for the MCU fanboys who call themselves film critics to be appalled and threatened by the violence and adult content of this film.

"James Mangold's LOGAN is dark, depressing and violent. It lacks the cheer and color of Captain America Civil War."

"Hugh Jackman's final outing as the titular character is grim and morose. The family-friendly, comedic tone of a Marvel Studios feature is sorely missed."

"FOX delivers a Wolverine movie that feels like No Country For Old Men when it should really feel like Disney's Ant-Man. Superhero movies are supposed to be light."
