My point exactly. Critics who bashed BvS hated it for not following the Marvel Studios formula.

90% of critics (bloggers) are MCU fanboys.

I'm a DC fanboy and I thought BVS was boring, it lacked action, and Superman was a depressing mute who lived in a Metropolis that looked just as dark as Gotham...zero contrast. But hey, that's my opinion.

Wolverine can be dark and depressing...nothing new really. Still, I'm not sure seeing a vulnerable, old Logan with diminished powers and skills is the ideal Wolverine I'd like to see, but it could be good....even if the action isn't, since it'll be him slashing people with no fancy choreography, according to the spoilers.

2017 is going to be a good year for mature content.

LOGAN (March 3)
GHOST IN THE SHELL (March 31)
ALIEN: COVENANT (August 4)
BLADE RUNNER 2049 (October 6)
DEATH NOTE (2017)

And then THE PREDATOR in February of '18.

I dunno about mature but probably be lotsa dirty words and cgi blood.

Is that really exciting? Will the crowd cheer because Wolverine curses?

Death Note and Alien are going to be complete horse ****.

So much threadcrapping going on in here, this isn't right.

Wow...that's exactly how I wanted to remember Patrick Stewart's Xavier. :lol It's funny how they had to put makeup on him to make him look older since Patrick Stewart is an immortal being that doesn't age.

Eh I dunno, he's looking his age the last few years. Although he was extremely lucky to be frozen in his early 40s for 25 years.

I don't imagine Xavier will be bonkers for the whole movie. If they are closing the book on the original cast I would guess he'll gain lucidity in time to blow up the death star. But I kind of like the idea that he's all messed up from using Cerebro all those years (no idea if that's the case).

Yes and hell yes!

After I wrote that I remembered they DID cheer when I saw FC and Wolverine dropped the bomb.

I guess I'm in the minority but I don't consider profanity to be a necessary part of the character. I'm all for some good old blood and guts but not just because. I thought the Alkali Lake scene Apocalypse was super-clunky but people seemed to love it.
