As for the "debate" at hand, all I'm gonna say is... they're guys and gals in funny costumes with ridiculous names. Be they from Marvel, DC, Fox or whatever, they ain't "deep" enough for such an analysis. There are only a handful of Big 2 characters that can truly have films be based on them and be able to classified as truly great films in every sense of the word. And you can probably count them in one hand...

Avengers is a fun and now historic romp, it did what it needed to do.

But it ain't no 10/10, hell not even TDK is a 10/10 so in no way is Avengers lol.

Any movie can be a 10/10.

If a film gets its message across poignantly and delivers in all fronts (characterization, cinematography, pacing, etc) it merits a perfect grade.

"10/10" is not only reserved for masterpieces like Citizen Kane, Lawrence of Arabia & The Godfather.

Well it's certainly not wrong if you feel it's a 10/10 for you.

I've never had a better theater experience than my Avengers midnight show, hell that experience alone was a 20/10 for me.

I had figured that the return of Luke, Leia and Han would've beat that but nope.

Don't even get me started on the DC trinity coming together in BvS, that midnight show was like a funeral lol.

So yeah Avengers is not a 10/10 in the general consensus kind of way but it certainly can be for any individual.

I think at pturtle's household it's rated on par with having your genitals kicked.

Actually even if ones opinion ultimately is what should only matter to that individual I still love being engaged in a thorough analysis discussion with others regarding these movies.
