It really is refreshing, almost like it was planned this way the whole time --- almost. :lol:rotfl

It makes me wonder how often the show writers re-watch older episodes to pick up on neglected story points. "Hey, remember that 4-toed statue in episode xx? Let's use that somehow."

:D

I was late to the party getting one of these and now it's like, "How did I get along without it before??" :lol

Looking forward to tonight's show as well!!!

I have a hard time imagining that they don't have a really long complex timeline of events and a very intricate web of how everything links together. I don't see how so many little details and points can match up so well if they are making some of this stuff up as they go along.

I'm really hoping that an episode soon will have a huge effect on events that happened in Season 1. It'd be great to really screw with us all once and extremely change one event and give it a lot more meaning.

HAHA, :). I know, but thankfully ABC puts the episodes online in HD the day after. So as for right now that is how I watch the show if I miss the episode. No worries.

I think they make up some of it as they go along; they don't even write the scripts until about 2 weeks before that episode is scheduled to shoot. But the main story has always had a general direction and idea with it since the beginning (according to the writers/producers). They have said that in some things they leave the options open wide enough so that when they decide they can chose from several different things. Which can be good in the sense that they maybe get fan feedback first on what they expect or want.

NOW...are we sure they aren't skipping another week even though they said they weren't????? I don't want to get my hopes up again :monkey2

It's definitely a new episode tonight.

This is the one were Sawyer has to explain how everyone else came to be on the island so Horus doesn't kill them. Should be a pretty good episode tonight.

And it looks like Locke may get to have a chat with Ben as well!!

If by chat, you mean beatdown, then I'm all for it.

They've had a big story map, timeline on a wall that plans out the seasons and major plot points, character arcs and revelations within each. They know they have 'A' and 'B', what isn't solid until the scripts are written is how exactly they get from A to B and so on.

There will be another break. They said the season finale will premier on May 13th. With 8 episodes left (including tonight's), May 13th is 9 weeks from tonight.....so that leaves one extra week for another break (prob the week before the finale). I also believe they said the finale is a two hour finale, so it is not split into parts spanning over two weeks.

Exactly, worded perfectly!

...................................AWESOME.

A very satisfying episode. So we learn what happens to the O6, Kate, Jack & Hurley integrate into the Dharma initiative. I wonder why Sun didn't flash with the rest of the O5? She was on 815 and she did leave the island with them.....why would she not flash back into 1977? As Christian said, they have quite a journey ahead of them.

Although this episode was all over the place and had a lot going on, it was necessary. They needed to basically wrap up what happens to the O5 now that they are back on the island. And now that their stories are established, the show can continue on with the more centric episodes. Basically setting the pace for future episodes.

EDIT: We definately saw when Sawyer looked at Kate and waved at her near the end, that he definately has some feelings for her still. And in the preview for next weeks episode we can see that Kate is trying to somewhat get back with Sawyer and Juliet is telling her to back off. I don't know, Sawyer and Juliet almost seem to perfect for each other......I don't see them staying together. Plus Sawyer might come to realize that Juliet was just a 3 year fling.

I love the role reversal given to us at the end of the episode. I really wish the show ran 2 hours though because I really get hooked and am always sad when the episode is over.

Great episode..Who wants to bet Sayid kills Ben as a kid?

That seems to be what Sayid plans to do, but something tells me that the opposite will happen. Not necessarily Ben killing Sayid, but Sayid being killed.

I don't think Ben can be killed as a kid, because he has already existed as an adult. But the Sayid in 1977 is the current and present Sayid.....so I could understand him being killed as he has already made his mark on history. But since the Ben in 1977 isn't the present Ben......it is very confusing, but I don't think he can be killed........Then again, remember in "LaFleur" Sawyer took a shot at point blank range and the bullet appeared to go through him as if he was invincible. So maybe the 815er's cannot die in the 1970s? Very confusing.

I think, without over thinking things, Ben cannot be killed as a child. Something makes me think that once everyone that needs to be together are together there will be a flash to the islands future and the war. I also have a feeling after said war they will flash one last time to the very beginnings of the island to start the cycle over again.

Daniel takes the view of timeline that any changes made to the past have already happened so the effects aren't recognizable, so I'm going to guess this is the theory the writers go with. Which would mean Ben cannot die as a child.

It was awesome when Sun whacked Ben with the oar. Loved it.

Am I the only one who isn't ecstatic about the events that were hinted at for next episode? We've come so far only to watch the survivors squabble and bicker amongst themselves again? And a love-quadrilateral? ugh...

The Sayid and kid Ben arc is interesting though. And it's always great to see Lapidus.

I agree that Ben can't be killed as a child. I am sure they will have atleast one death before the season is over. I dont want anyone to die but if I had to pick an original cast member to go I would choose Sayid or Hurley... and I dont ever see Hurley being killed off.

On Lost-forum.com they are showing pictures of what appears to be a woman standing behind Sun when she is talking to Christian. Speculation is that it's Charlotte. Outside chance possibly Claire.
