Great Episode!!
I actually liked Miles character in this one...

Now, here comes the SW geek in me...
Seems like the writers haven't watched ESB for a while...
Chewie doesn't shoot the Probe Droid, it's Han, then it self-destructs ...
Also, Vader cuts Luke's Han before telling him he's his father...:nono

Well Hurley did say that he was writing an improved version. Perhaps these were his changes? :dunno

Nope, I think they are a third group. The plane survivors were a part of the same group from the flashback that grabbed Miles in the van and tried to talk him out of joining up with them and not Naomi and Widmore's group. They asked Miles the same question about what is in the shadow of the statue in the van that the plane survivors asked the pilot.

Oh yeah!!!! Thanks man!!

Someone please tell me why on earth did the island let Ben live???? He should have been eaten by that black smoke!! I was soo disapointed. :( I don't get it. there have been people on the island that were less evil than him and the black smoke killed them, but somehow HE gets a pass...

I think "it" saved him so he can die doing something for the island. Like him dying in order for something to happen.

And I'm stumped as to who the people on the island + people who kidnapped Miles are. They aren't Widmore, because they said he was a bad man, but who else could it be???

Could it be the remnants of the Dharma Initiative, trying to get back to the island after they lost contact with them; with them being all dead and all?

I think it's Ben's people.

I think Hurley just made some errors in it. I know that even with the number of times I've seen ESB I'd make plenty of mistakes like that.

I wonder where Faraday has been all this time. Someone refresh my memory what he was up to the last time we saw him...

So do y'all think the question about the statues shadow is a literal question, or just a code phrase?

I would think it's a code phrase, to whomever is loyal to their campaign. Becuase the statue is gone and there isn't a shadow there anymore.

Judging by the pictogram of the statue, smoke monster and eye of Ra we saw, I'd bet that there is something at the base of the statue.

"Some like it Hoth" - great title. But I don't know if I'd go for Hurley's "improvements". Having Luke and Vader sit down and discuss their daddy issues doesn't sound like it would have made for a better movie.

I like that we now know how Miles' power works.

OMG yes yes yes!!!!!!!!! :rock

I don't consider this a spoiler, but some people will.
Episode 15 titled "Follow the Leader" is Richard's centric episode

I love the great references by Hurley about Star Wars, and the title of this week's episode. I know that J.J. Abrams is a BIG Star Wars fan, and so am I. :D

I really don't think any changes need to be done to The Empire Strikes Back. I do agree with Hurley that the "Ewoks suck"! I always thought that setting the end of Return Of The Jedi on Chewie's home world of Kashyykk would have been MUCH better than Endor. That's 'cause Wookies DON'T SUCK! :chew :D

Hmmm...that spoiler info....interesting.

Thanks for putting it in the spolier tag NightCreeper. I'm not gonna look at it, although the curiousityis killing me. :lol

Maybe something, then again maybe nothing:

The "Shadow" people were wearing all black when they took Miles....when Miles went to pick up the "package" in 1977, they were wearing all black.....HMMM.

Hmmm, I didn't notice that, could that be a little foreshadowing or just a coincidence??? But then again, are there coincidences on this show??? :rotfl:rotfl

Well, Bram was wearing a black leather jacket, not the black Dharma togs Faraday and Radzinski had on, when he picked up Miles in the van. When we see him again on the island in the past with Ilana and the mysterious silver crate, he's wearing a black tshirt. Obviously they are part of some long standing opposition group to Widmore (possibly in league with Elloise Hawking - since she seems to be the 'Mother Abigail' to Widmore's 'Randall Flagg') and infiltrated flight 316 along with Ben and the 815ers.

I wonder if Bram and Illana know Richard and the Hostiles or have been on the island before? They seem to know a lot about the island and the statue and whatnot. And who will have the answer of what lies in the shadow? Locke? Richard? Ben?

I just watched the episode, kinda cool the part where Hurley told Miles about the Star Wars part and the relationship between Father and Son,but didn´t Luke Skywalker lose the hand?I thought of this early Orientation Film with Marvin with a prosthetic arm.
