And why was the smoke monster flashing (You know what I mean)? Was it giving some kind of message? Was it reading them?

Crazy wasn't it?! Zippy the Cloud Monster is also a photo journalist?

And Sawyer is a daddy.

Will we ever get to see Clementine?

She's probably one of the kids that got taken from the tail section

Last night was a pretty good episode. I really liked how they worked Kate in with Sawyer's ex.

I know you want to move them into the 'barracks' but what about food? They at least have fish, pig, and Dharma supplies at the beach. I have no idea how the 'Others' were getting their food.

Holy censored, what an amazing episode!!! Great backstory, a lot of answers, and a hell of a twist. Doesn't really get any better than tonight's.

Juliet is a *****.

I have a hunch that the creators want us to think that. I mean she could very well be a cold hearted monster... but after watching her back story it became very clear that things are not as they seem. The Others, to me, seemed like the good community like they have always said they were. Even though we saw the "bad" conversation at the end I am open to believe that they have a good reason for it.

Who knows... I could just be insane. The Others could all just be a bunch of giant loosers.

I still do not know why Jack doesn't take everyone back to the houses??

Are they trying to minimize Ethan's evil? They kept saying that he kipnapped Clair - but no mention that he MURDERED 2 PEOPLE! What up wit that? This seems like an inexcusable move by the writers to completely disregard previous incidents.

But any episode that features the gorgeous Juliet is 2 thumbs up in my book!

I totally agree.

Ah, but Ethan panicked and was acting on his own, not as instructed by the Others. Bah. Gag me. I feel like the writers changed their mind and decided not to make the Others bad guys even though that was their original intention.

And who does Jack think he is, "She's under my protection." Someone is on an ego trip. At least he didn't freak out at anyone tonight. Overall it was a good episode though. The question of whether the Others are good or bad makes it interesting, and the pace has picked up alot from the first part of the season last year. I have a feeling its going to be another long summer. I'm still dying to know what's up with that huge four toed statue, although that may be one of the things we never know.

Jack is my #1 fave on the show but I was really wishing Syaid would just smack his butt back into reality.

You gotta admit, Juliette OWNED Sayid and Sawyer when she told them about their past misdeeds. She called them the 'Morality Police', that was funny.

I agree she's hot.

She got them that's for sure. However, I can't wait to see Sayid just torture the crap out of her. I'm gonna love that.

*Waits for Tom to completely answer all of our questions*

Good episode, the only thing I am left wondering aside from what was mentioned is why The Others reacted the way they did when the plane crashed. Or better yet, didn't really react; it almost appeared to me as if they have seen this type of thing before.

I love Juliet. I think she is a genuinely good person at heart who really, really wants to get off the island and will do anything to make that happen. If you were supposed to hate anybody after last night's episode, I should think that it would be Ben.

Now, I'm still trying to figure out why she would make a deal with Ben after seeing the sub explode. Ben must have convinced her that there is still another way off the island and if that requires her to betray the group of people who murdered her boyfriend then so be it. She is smart enough to be playing Jack like a fiddle and that's a lot of fun to watch. First he loses Kate to Sawyer and now his would be rebound love interest is manipulating him for her own purposes. She is definitely conflicted and would by her nature belong on the beach, but as we have seen, Ben is holding the trump cards on the island and seems to be pretty good at getting just about everybody to do exactly what he wants by dangling carrots out in front of them.

If Ben is this much of a twisted manipulative jerk then I can't wait to meet Jacob. (Who was the biblical father of Benjamin, a detail that might not be lost on the writers.)

Anyway, I can't wait to see what happens when Juliet discovers that Sun is pregnant.

I think that this is going to be the major issue as the season wraps up, all that the survivors are doing and shouldn't be -- and The Others inability to understand it:

1) Locke walking

2) Ben developing cancer

3) Sun's pregnancy (not to mention Claire)

I can't wait for the battle royal in the last show of the season.

Here's some info for next week.

Episode 3.17: Catch-22 (Desmond-centric)
Airdate: April 18, 2007

04/04 - ABC updated their press release for this episode and gave a name to Marsha Thomason's character: Naomi. Source: ABC
04/02 - Desmond coaxes Charlie, Hurley and Jin on a trek across the jungle after experiencing one of his future-prophesizing “flashes” -- but is he purposely placing Charlie’s life in harm’s way? Meanwhile, Kate turns to an unwitting Sawyer after seeing Jack alone with Juliet. Guest starring are Sonia Walger as Penny Widmore, Jack Maxwell as Derek, Joanna Bool as Ruth, Andrew Connolly as Brother Campbell, Andrew Trask as older monk and Marsha Thomason as parachutist. Source: ABC
03/30 - Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz reveal: [We will explore] what's going on with Penny and Desmond. You know what we started in the finale of season two? We'll continue to explore that. Plus, there's another big revelation on that front coming up pretty soon. Source: Lost - The Official Magazine, Issue #10, May/June 2007
03/05 - I'm pretty sure [the new female regular is] a subterranean character. Damon and Carlton seemed to admit there's a whole underground contingency on the island in the latest Lost Redux video clip. Source: Kristin on E!Online
02/28 - Desmond's beloved Penny makes another appearance in his next flashback. Source: SpoilerFix.com
02/28 - [Marsha Thomason, Nessa Holt from Las Vegas, has been cast as...] a new female character will be introduced later this season, and get this: According to exec producer Carlton Cuse, "She does not appear in a flashback, she is not an Other, and she is not one of the survivors of Flight 815." What does that leave? Source: Kristin on E!Online
02/24 - Lost was filming at St. Andrew's Cathedral today (Friday, Feb. 23). This is the same church that Charlie visited in Season 1, and where Mr. Eko worked in Season 2. This time, it was for Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick). He was neatly shorn and wearing a long, grey robe, so I'd guess he was more than just a visitor. He was talking to a man in a long black robe and skull cap... and soon got down on his knees, palms together and up, as if to receive communion. Source: The Transmission
02/19 - Cuse and Lindelof reveal: I think the Desmond-Penny love story is really central to the whole overall mythology of the show. [Desmond] sort of leveled Charlie with this very sort of specific proclamation at the end of the episode, that Charlie is going to die. And coming down all the way through the end of season three, that becomes a very major storyline that we're following, which is, Desmond keeps seeing Charlie die and can he stop it? Is he powerless to stop it? Source: Kristin on E!Online
02/15 - A bit more info about Ruth and Kenneth. Ruth is said to be a strong and pretty woman who has rather sad eyes. Kenneth is a working class type who is quite quick to throw a punch. Source: SpoilerFix BuddyTV Spoilers Chat
02/14 - Episode 3.17 will feature Caucasian 50-year-old Theodore and Kenneth and Ruth, both Scottish and in their 20s. Source: SpoilerFix BuddyTV Spoilers Chat
01/22 - A new character first appears in episode 3.17 until end of season. Female, mid 20's to 30. Tough, fit, very intelligent. Not American. Source: secretagentman @ TWoP

Well, I'm starting to hate Jack more and more. "She's under my protection" :monkey1 :monkey1 :monkey1 :monkey1 Somebody thinks highl of themselves. Sayid sould have been in great pain by now. So Sayid has no trouble torturing Sawyer when they "thought" he was bad, but he WONT torture Juliet when they "KNOW" she was part of a group that kidnaps and kills people, COME ON !!!!!! Everybody on that island are probably the most naive people in the world, the writers really want to make them stupid. Jack said "they left her behind too", so WHO CARES, you get all the information out of her as you can, I wouldn't care is God himself was protecting her. They really seem to be writing Sawyer kind of out of character for my likes. So Juliet calls them the Morality Police, Sayid/Sawyer don't seem like the characters that would let something simple like that manipulate them, thought they were just going to shrug and get on with the torture.

Whether Juliet is just bidding her time to turn on Ben still remains to be scene, but I don't see a way for her off the island, so I don't know why she would be complicit with him. I will say, even though she is like 20 years older then me, she looked smokin' good in the episode.

This has been bugging me for a while. Why doesn't anyone just say to one of the others, "why didn't you just ask for our help? if you just did that, we would have helped you" It seems fairly obvious, but no one has done it. Anyway, I still love the show, it just angers me sometimes when these characters just act to stupid.
