That's the thing but, I'd want THE actual version we see on screen. They are all genuine props, but I hate when they banter them around as 'THE one' from episode dadada, when they clearly weren't the ones used.
I get the different 'looks' film gives, but some of the things are glaringly different.
Example, a screenshot shows only 3 studs on the inner most edge of the hatch door, when the one shown for sale clearly has 4!
Could one of them have been used for when Locke and Boone tried to smash it open with the catapult thing, perhaps negating it to be made of real steel and not painted up plastic or styrene? - Of course.
But the description should actually say exactly what they were each used for

Well, it's weird, because EVERYTHING is valued at $200-300, barring the Hatch and the BIG stuff. Even the stuff that's really worth more or less than that. I mean, come on, the suit the Jack died in has the same value as the misc knick-knacks in Dogen's quarters??

Exactly, it's too bad things weren't priced/valued more accurately. I checked just about all the items up for auction and I can confirm that I have not seen any item starting under $200. There are A LOT of items in that auction that are not and wouldn't sell at $200 or more, they will have a lot leftover that never sold and I wonder what they will do with it?

Does anyone know what happened with the Lost Encyclopedia??

Amazon sent out an email saying it's delayed and they can't provide a release date. Barnes and Noble's website says it's out in October. We were two weeks out from when it was supposed to be released, now it's delayed two months??

I was checking into it and the folks at The Fuselage (which seems to be dead now) were expressing doubts about the content of the book, regarding its thoroughness.

Word is that they delayed the release so they can include the events of 'The New Man in Charge' into the encyclopedia.

Which is silly because the epilogue (I'm assuming) was finished a long time ago. Did they not allow the people who were writing the book to see it?? I was purchasing the book on the assumption that the authors had some inside knowledge and could help explain things. I guess not.

Well the fish biscuit machine from Sawyer's cage is up for auction and it is indeed the actual one from filming. It was re painted for the brief shot of it used in the Dharma Video for The New Man in Charge. They only ever made one of these so I expect this to go for quite a high price.

I would have thought like in any auction if nobody bids at $200 than they lower the bid until someone does bid, then it usually goes back over the original starting bid anyway. People don't like to jump in at a high price, but don't mind being bidded up to one.

I wouldn't trust many of the costumes being the actual Hero outfits. Especially for seasons 1 to 3 because Inkworks trading cards made 4 card sets with many show worn costume swatches. I'm certain many of the ones available at auction are back ups/stunt doubles. They really haven't been marked very well at all.

After taking part in the BSG auctions I know some of these items will sell for very high prices. Even items you don't think will sell that high might actually go for far more than expected. I know in BSG Adama's wedding ring he gave to Roslin sold for $6,000, and a plain blanket she had went for $1,000. Some fans are crazy buyers.

That Hatch door if it was the actual hero used one would sell for over $10,000 easy, could still do even though it may be a back up.

I remember hearing , WAY back, that the finale would be longer on the blu-ray than the televised episode. Do you guys think that it will or were they just alluding to the Epilogue?

Show of hands: Who's picking up the Series Set???

They said in an interview with Entertainment last week that while there is an uncut version of the finale on the DVD, there really isnt anything substantial. Just some longer cuts of scenes and a few pieces of dialouge here and there.

Since they realized this would be a big letdown with fans, they decided to make the epilouge to give them something new.

Actually, I like them in this pose, and I don't regret buying them, but the were way more expensive than what they are worth.
