Jack is a big jack-off. I love the show, but he annoys the crap out of me at times. "She's under MY protection"???? Well buddy, since when do I work for you?

Jack thinks just a little too highly of himself.

ONCE AGAIN, for the people in the cheap seats!

...Well, everyone on the island did sort of appoint him 'Unofficial Leader' of the cast aways, so if anyone there can make that kind of statement it should be him. He is possibly THE most trusted person there besides Hurley and he is the Doctor for God's sake! I think everyone on the island would be a$$ out if he wasn't there so if he wants to say, "she's under my protection" I think he has earned that right.

He hasn't "earned" anything more than anyone else. Other people may have earned mistrust like Sawyer, but Jack is not more trustworthy than Sun ( so she cheated on her Husband, but Jack has his past issues too ).

Jack also made a deal with the others so he could get off the island. All we have is him telling Kate the he would have sent help back. Maybe he would havean maybe he wouldn't depending on what Ben would have said ( although we know Ben was never going to let him leave ).

You're allowed to like Jack and I don't hate the guy. I just think he's a tool and way to full of himself.

Touche. But he also made it possible for Kate and Sawyer to escape the Others' camp and he is always the first to make efforts to help rescue someone or help in the decision making process.

Take it easy on the guy, he has a lot of responsibilities and gets cranky every now and then, If I had 40 plus people looking to me for the right thing to do, I know I would be too. :D

I hear you. Like I said I don't dislike him. I was just REALLY put off by the "She's under MY protection" line. If I were Siaed ( sp ) I would have told Jack to shut his mouth and that while I may respect him I don't report to him and he's not going to tell me I can't question someone who been living with the very people who have been terrorizing/kidnapping/shooting us.

I just think the writer's need to tone Jack down some. As a character he's fine, but he's going over the edge or something.

I don't think anyone's mentioned it, but how great was it when Jin was telling the ghost story? :lol

That was funny.

Jack sometimes is a tad over the top but these people keep coming to him and then when he makes a leader decision they're like "huh?".

They went some time w/o going to him while he was with the others. Then he steps back in and acts like he's in charge while just on the way back to camp w/o even being there yet.

What about with the lady who gives tattoos? Or the flight attendant?

I was also thinking about what you said about Locke being dumb. I don't think Locke is dumb, if you think about it he's making all the right moves--for himself. Back home he's a lonely wheel chair bound nobody who works in a box factory. On the island he's seen (at least in the past) as something of a leader behind Jack, he can walk, he's a darn good hunter, and he's surrounded by people. The island to Locke is like his fantasy life coming true. So he's not dumb, he's just not thinking about the others.

I was just looking at the official cast listing for the upcoming episode with the Ben flashback showing the history of Dharma on the island. Jon Gries will be appearing as ROGER Linus.

That means that Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite is potentially both Ben's father AND the body in Hurley's VW. There's something I wasn't expecting.

Not really a spoiler since it's just my own theorizing. But if true, definitely weird. The leader of the Others is the son of one of Dharma's janitors? Interesting. Maybe the Hostiles were some unhappy Dharma union workers and The Purge was a Marxist revolution of sorts.

And it also won't surprise me if "Jacob" is really a computer or something weird like that. Just like when they finally showed us the Black Rock and it wasn't really a black rock like we thought all along.

From spoilerfix about tomorrow night.

Site visitor Matt sent us information about what Naomi will tell the survivors about Flight 815: [highlight if you want to be that spoiled..."At the close of the episode our beloved cast aways will inform the parachute girl that they're survivors of Oceanic flight 815. The parachute girl will give them the unfortunate news that what they've just told her is impossible seeing as how the wreckage of that flight was found and recovered, and that there were no survivors. The episode promptly ends thereafter."]

I used to be a fan, but not as much any more. Too many inconsistencies

Where to start.

Is Juliet Bad? Is she good? Why do all her flashbacks show her as pathetically good, and her present show the opposite?

Wasn't tree-hangin-parachute-chick funny when she asked for help in 12 languages? Is she from the UN?

Jin is learning English way too fast to be believable.

Maybe cyclops faked his death by eating alka-seltzer. That can make your mouth foam.

Why couldn't Hurley's Mom answer the phone? Oh yeah, she and Cheech are smoking weed.

Why did Juliet sneak into Sun's room at night? To kidnap her to the ultrasound-hidden-in-a-locker room!

Why was Charlie's guitar no longer on the camping trip?

Who really cares about this episode. What was the point of spending a whole episode just to tell us Jin's mother was a prostitute? It has absolutely zilch to do with the storyline.Other than the last 3 minutes, none of it matters. Maybe next episode will show Michael and Walt on their boat. Or what the Monk is up to since Brutha Dezzi left the monestary.

There are 3 shows left to spark my interest again. They have so many loose ends to connect, that they cannot possibly do it, which means we will forget about many by next fall.

Anybody watch the first two seasons of Las Vegas? I think the parachute girl was Nessa. I think that Juliet is a good person being coerced into doing bad things for some unknown reason. Maybe its something to do with her sister, if she doesn't do what Ben wants her cancer will come back or something. How did Ben cure it in the first place anyways?

Also being submerged with people who only speak English and having his wife teach him, I don't think Jin is learning english at too fast a pace.

Oh and "Most men have a sperm count of 60 to 80 million, here it's five times that. We call those good odds." I call that Sawyer's in trouble.

Good call, Juliette did mention that She'll have Austin's results in a week.

Also, the guy with the patch said ssomething to the effect that on this island people heal faster.Does that explain what happened to him? What did happen to him? I thought he died?

So maybe Boone, Ana Lucia, Libby, Hey You and C'mere will come back as zombies! :horror :baicon6:

:woo

There definately is something hanging over Juliet's head, and I have a feeling that will be presented as the season closes, esp with one of the next few episodes being a Dharma flashback. I would think with Juliet's comments, that Kate is fact pregnant, or at least they are eager to find that out.

I think that luring Kate, Sawyer and Jack at the end of season two served two purposes for Ben. First, he got a doctor to work on his back. Everything else that happened between Kate and Sawyer was meant to bring them together so that they could get it on and the Others would have another on-island conception to study. I think that Kate is definitely going to wind up pregnant with Sawyer's baby. And I also predict that the same thing will happen with Rose and Bernard as soon as they get their Phil Collins tape back...
