Just found this regarding one of the characters and it seems like they are not long for the lostverse

Looking up that person, and other members of the cast, on imdb you can see how many episodes they've been signed to and reasonably guess when they will make their exit. Get ready for some bloodshed in the next 3 episodes me thinks. Also it's got some great spoilers about familiar faces, some more surprising than others, that will pop up.

EDIT: Just realized because of the strike the imdb trick is probably not 100% accurate as they're usually finished writing and casting the season at this point. Still, it certainly will give a few arrivals and departures of the cast away.

BTW let's not forget that promo with the Number 6 and the #9 reflected in the water so maybe we will find out the "6" but learn that Aaron, Desmond, and another get off... making it 9...

Because it means that the character of Miles may not be long for the island.

Ken Leung who is in that production from March 11 – April 5 will presumably be busy with that project and unable to film any Lost stuff during that time. It's reasonable to assume he will be leaving the cast, at least for awhile, but nothing is really certain on Lost and people can pop back up later at any time, even if they've been killed off.

They do mention in EW this week that the strike has caused some scheduling difficulties with 2 actors they really need (one of which is Miles I assume) but also opened up the opportunity of bringing back Nestor Carbonell (Richard Alpert) who was busy filming 'Cane' before the strike.

I certainly hope that we see Richard again-- a rather prominent character that can't be explained away off-screen simply due to an actor's involvement in another show... that'd suck if he was killed off-screen and it would DEFINITELY suck if he was forgotten completely-- as the stewardess with the children seem to have been (for the moment at least).

Wild episode so far. That's how Aaron can be Kate's "son". Time runs differently on the Island so they were "lost" longer than they thought.

Great episode. My favorite of the season!

I loved that Desmond got to finally talk to Penny, and Christmas Eve no less. Also nice to see Charles Widmore again.
