Oh, we're still cooking on the LOTR line, but man, each LOTR character requires quite a bit of effort, artistry, and research. The creative team feels immense responsibility with the LOTR characters. We're as excited about the next announcement as you are, but just want to hold off a bit until the figure is well and truly ready to be shown, with all of the production dilemmas sorted and squared. The pacing of the line should be a little more even after that.

Theoden PF? :D

Brant,
thanks for dropping by and kindling hope! If this one is causing production problems, but the line should even out after the next one, who could it be? Sideshow doesn't have to worry about reusing bodies like they do for the 1/6 scale stuff for PF. Hmmm.

Thanks Brant. We all know that others are in the queue, but the pace of the SW PF's has spoiled those who are looking for announcements more frequently. I understand if SS wants to have an item as close to perfect as possible (we all do too), but some little teasers or hints would do wonders to satisfy our thirst (and generate a lot of talk). Just tease us with what movie the character is from, hero or villian, part of the Fellowship or not, anything. We're dying here :rip

"Hope is kindled!!!"

Okay, so for the SW premium format line, a lot of people speculated that Boba Fett was so complicated that he slowed down production, and they even switched the order of Luke/Yoda with Boba Fett due to production issues. Who do you think is holding things up for the LOTR premium format line? We've seen Frodo, so the rest of the Hobbits should be somewhat comparable (well, Pippin gets his Gondorian armor, so...:lol ) And the 1/6 line shows that they know how to make Aragorn, Boromir, Legolas. Would Gandalf be so complicated, with so many layers that he is the hold up? Maybe it's Gimli, with the intricacies of his armor? Any guesses?

Great news!! I know all of us want them to be coming out more quickly but I know that we want them to be as perfect as possible. So if that means a slow start that's cool. Though Loki does make a good point that I know for me any bit of a tease would do me quite well.

All they would be are guesses. Who knows for sure. Maybe they had quality issues, but then look at the latest pics of Frodo :monkey4

Maybe a very complicated and detailed costume, but why wasn't one moved ahead (like what you said about Luke before Boba)? We will only be able to speculate once we find out who's next.

Come on SS. It's been a year since Frodo was announced. It would be nice to KNOW the line is continuing instead of hoping.

I've tried *****ing for 6 months. It didn't work. I'll just put my faith in SS and know that the next announcement is going to blow me away:monkey3

Just as long as it's not Faramir....I'm too poor!!!

I hope it isn't too. He's fine in a 12" but I don't know if I want him in a PF.

I'd pass on Faramir easy. I want the fellowship, Saruman and maybe an Orc or two, but that's about it.

I wouldn't pass up the Elves or some great looking soldiers, or Sauron, or Morgul Lord, or Eomer, or Theoden, or Eowyn, .......... you get the point.
