Bad reviews confirmed it for me that this is only worth a rental on bad movie night.

And I heard the 3-D wasn't worth it, just tacked on like Clash of the Titans, they said it shows.

I had zero interest in seeing this, but now after reading the reviews I just have to check out how bad it truly is; same thing happened with Lady in the Water. :rotfl :cuckoo: :rotfl

Hahahahahah....holy ____...

, "EARTH BENDERS! THERE IS DIRT UNDER YOUR FEET! THERE'S DIRT ALL AROUND YOU! WHY DON'T YOU FIGHT?" And everybody's like, "Whoa." They notice that there's a lot of dirt here, all right. How did they miss that? It's like they've got selective dirt-blindness.

I love Avatar the Last Airbender and was really looking forward to seeing this tommorow. I'm disheartened to hear the bad reviews. I'll still be seeing it, though.

Man this movie is getting killed. This movie gave me soo much hope. (katara voice ).

I'm sure you felt the same way when Dragonball: Evolution came out.

Ah, you know me too well! I did feel that way except I didn't see that garbage until I downloaded the torrent.
M. Night's a Philly guy, I'm a Philly guy so I'll give this the benefit of the doubt and pay to see it.
IF it sucks I'll just drown myself in the actual tv show to forget it.

Skip the 3D - it's not worth it.

I saw it this afternoon with a friend, and I'll probably see it again tomorrow with the kids. I'd give it a 5 out of 10. The effects are great, the fights pretty good (although if a bender had to wind up that much for every element bend, they'd get their ass kicked), and the story only has a couple minor changes that I disliked. However, the acting is atrocious, especially the kid playing Aang. I'd love to see Book Two, and I'd really hope that the kid would be better under a director that can actually direct, but I'm afraid that with this bad of reviews (and the likely matching box office) that we'll never get to see Aang's story completed.

And the DB: Evo movie made $58 Mil in its box office making most of that in the foreign box office. What a horrible movie.

I'll be watching this in the theaters with my nieces.

Saw it tonight. It really is pretty bad. Acting is HORRIBLE, the script is laughably over-indulgent, and the 3-D might be even worse than Clash of the Titans.

I agree completely with Irish on all counts. 3 out of 10 rating from me only because the effects were decent. If I weren't with friend I would have walked out 15 minutes into it.

3D was worthless in this too.

That's pretty much the final nail in the coffin for me. If the regulars here on SSF say it's bad, it's bad.

In my mind I've been wondering how this could be worse than The Happening. I can't believe it.

Wow... I was ready to give M. Night another chance... but he's been delivering crap constantly... his only good movies Unbreakable and Sixth Sense... everything else sucks... too bad this one apparently does too... I'll skip it!! :wave
