It's a sad day when you're excited by a rainout. The Sox also said they're going to skip Lackey's start.:yess:

Always a good thing. Trying to figure out where things are going wrong for the Sox so far. On paper, they should be decimating teams...sadly, they haven't been up to par with that 2-9 record. Don't get me started on Dice K :lol...

For once I agreed with what Bobby Valentine said on Baseball Tonight regarding Daisuke. He said just let him do his own thing the Japanese way and let him tire himself out. At this point why not? The Sox have nothing to lose with him since no one will take him for the money he has and the stupid perks stipulated in his contract.

The sooner this happens, the sooner he's on the DL and there's an open roster spot.:lol

Oh I agree. I'm counting down the days when they replace him in the rotation with Tim Wakefield :lol...

Ouch! :lol

Pujols in a slump.....but leave it to the Dodgers to change all that. :gah:

Congrats. He hits his second homer. So does Matt Kemp.

Our pitching is horrendous. I haven't seen so many pitches to the dirt in one game. I was thinking, sooner or later a run will score because of that....sure enough one comes in. :thud:

Yeah, hopefully this is the start him getting out of this slump and back to being one of the best hitters to ever step in a batters box.

Cards have been playing well, lately. GM stated in a conference call that he still has faith in Franklin. So do opposing teams. lol

Pujols is looking much better. Way too early to panic, as you(Josh) stated before. : )

Pujols will carry the Cards this year, as usual.

I think Pujols' contract issue is a bigger distraction than he wants to admit. I saw it in 2008 with Holliday.

B level players play better during contract years, A level players don't IMO.

Had to jump into the waters here. Longtime Cards fan living in Chi-town. :)

This year will be interesting unlike any other. #1 is down, they're missing a real closer (still), and the Pujols contract still hangs over the team and FO like a dark cloud.

Having said that, I don't remember a TLR season where a dark cloud didn't hang over the team. They always seem to persevere, though, so we'll see.

Pujols and Holliday will battle it out for team MVP, but my darkhorse candidate is Berkman. IF this guy can stay healthy, it will be like having the MV3 of Pujols, Edmonds and Rolen again.

Yup, I'm not all that worried about anything this early in a baseball season. If things are still shaky come the AS break then yeah might be time. :lol
