I agree with you in that anybody and everybody has a right to fly. If you have your own airplane, you can fly away and I don't feel anybody should stop you. If you want to get on a commercial flight, you have to agree to their rules or tough ____. It is like this board. I have a right to type pretty much whatever the hell I feel like on the internet. I don't have the right to type whatever the hell I feel like on this message board.

Yep, same deal with people who drive a car vs people who take a bus.

You own a car, you buy yourself certain privileges with it, you take a bus to work, your relying on someone else who owns what you need. And they get to set the rules, thats the way its always been.

The problem, the real problem, is nowadays we tell every kid they are special and with all the techno crap we have, everyone gets instant gratifaction. What they want, whenever they want, wherever.

I had sticks, and dirt, and I sat there and played with the sticks in the dirt, and if I got out of line, I got hit.

Today there are no consequences for being a stuck up little brat, in fact we reward it with reality TV shows, or making you a famous singer. These people are just looking for there oppurtunity, there 15 minutes to be the idiot on CNN who got his 2 inch _____ touched by some poor bastard making $7 an hour. Anyone can be a star for any stupid reason with all these social sites and the news doesn't know the differance between a real story and the internet anymore.

Wow, Deckard. You and I have got to hang out. Nice to hear someone with the same point of view.

Also people are patted down at many pro sporting events and no one says ____ about that.

If you want to be mad at the airlines fine. But get mad for the right reasons. Price gouging anyone? Fees to fly a damn bag. Let's be honest that's what's wrong. :lol

Mine as well. Deckards post is pretty much words out of the late George carlins mouth. :rock

Ahhhh, yes and celebs are the best source for common sense. Especially foul mouthed ones who think they are the smartest guy in the room.

They check bags and pat large coats. They don't stick their hands in your crotch.

I believe your new friend Teemu has quoted Carlin several times as a point of reference. :rotfl:yess:

No sir. I have physically been patted down. I'm pretty sure the process of patting one down does not involve a hernia examination.

Well sir maybe it's because they expect people in Philly to bring weapons to games. I have been to MANY Caps games, Skins games, Nats and Wizards games and have NEVER had that happen to me.

It's called "profiling" known trouble makers :lol

What's your point? GC is on about some things and a total douche about other things. I'm just saying I don't look to Hollywood for my opinions.

I look to no man and no god and no faction for my opinions. I use my own mind. So we kind of agree there.

Never quoted Carlin...he makes some good points though...and like Kit,not a fan of his potty mouth....oh I was at one of the phillies playoff games....the slightest of pat,if that at all....no junk grabbing,no interrogation...they at least didnt treat people like slaves (not yet)

Current interpretation of the Constitution is pretty ******* different than the interpretation of the founders when they drafted it. And rightly so. That is all :peace

Flying is the right of all sentient birds.

(No, the Constitution is not open to interpretation.)

Assuming there is no right to fly, what is a right is the freedom to do business. The fact that a government agency has interposed itself as the arbiter of who gets to trade with the airlines and who doesn't is a pretty dangerous precedent. Not that most people would be alarmed, because the government tells people how they will interact with each other on a daily basis in every industry, and has for decades. The difference with this step is that it is a blatant violation of the 4th Amendment. There is nothing reasonable about these searches, as there has been nothing reasonable about the items confiscated over the course of the TSA's career.

How can they be searching people without probable cause? What grounds do they have for arguing that anyone could be bringing a bomb on the plane?

Further, the idea that their harassment of passengers is preventing terrorist attacks is ridiculous. The actual group who instigated the threat in 2001 has already moved on to cargo bombs on flights originating outside of the U.S. Any other homicidal Muslim not associated directly with al Qaeda has more than likely had extensive contact with radicals within this country and should be on a watch list already. Every instance of non-al Qaeda bombing attempts in this country have followed that exact pattern.

I don't get it. Scanning old ladies and children? Unreasonable and illegal. Period.

Also, will these ladies be getting fully nude scans and patdowns?
