Not sure why we think they would try other figures because of this one. This is mostly a repaint and it's technically still an iron man figure which sells like crazy in Asia. That's different than designing a new figure from the ground up and hoping it's going to sell well without the Iron Man craze in the Asian market driving most of the sales.

Not exactly this material it would have to be armor with matching color but you get the idea

That's what I've been saying, but some of them have such hardons for their "comic accurate" spandex figures that they'll cling to any sliver of hope XD

I might have missed part of the conversation but this is the 33rd figure in their Video game series. So they have done a lot from the ground up.

My comment was related to statements I have seen about the sales of this figure potentially convincing Hot Toys to make other Marvel comic/final fight figures.

Last HT i bought was the Netflix Punisher, i dont have an ironman or war machine so im all in on this..just bought the comics too.

that being said, only thing I don't like is the head sculpt otherwise Punisher WM looks very awesome and its a definite buy

Only thing that would probably make this look even more badass is some blood splatter here and there. The sculpt would probably work better if it were bloodied and battle-damaged as well.

I don't mind the HS but the blood and BD parts could have been a nice touch.

As much as I like both WM & Punisher and would love to have this, I do have the tendency to sell-off mech/armoured figures (IronMonger, Iron WL, T600) after a year of owning them. So... this is a hard choice.

Love the figure but that headsculpt it total garbage in my opinion. Doesn’t have that Punisher feel at all.

Not really. This dude looks like some kind of Italian mobster. Doesn’t look like the dude in the game imo

Frank IS Italian. He changed Francis Castiglione to Frank Castle in order to serve more Tours in Vietnam.

the base is the Mark III from Civil War. Besides the headsculpt and Punisher-inspired paint job, there is a new gattling gun, chest piece, and forearm missiles/guns that were added. Blast-effect parts have also been included.

Like I said earlier, it’s a pretty direct translation from the game the figure is based on. Hard to blame them for nailing the headsculpt. They probably weren’t given much leeway with the head. The might have been lucky to get the helmet head in there since I don’t believe the game has that.

Better looking then the 1/6 sideshow one. I’m sure finally product won’t look to dark skin tone either.
