That's what makes the collision of worlds so awesome. Watch Iron Man 1 again. Does that movie "feel" like Thor could step in and say "hi" at any time? No way. But combining the two characters made for awesome entertainment. "Hey Point Break, you've got a hell of a swing."

I just picture Hugh Jackman reacting to all the Avengers the exact same way he did when he took his first tour of Xavier's mansion. "Cyclops? Storm? What do they call you, Wheels?"

He did an interview not too long ago that suggested there's a great possibility that he'll be back.

Wolverine would look so out of place in the Avengers which exactly why he would be awesome in an Avengers movie. If one hasn't read Uncanny Avengers then they should, it's a great read and it's fun to see the interaction with Cap and Logan IMO.

From what I'm reading, it's been canned, but I'm not even sure.

Not officially canned, no. But probably will be in the coming months, the spinoffs have no place in the near future now that Sony has a spot in the MCU and they only signed up to do one solo film to see how it pans out first.

Spiderman probably was under the radar this whole time but being watched by fury just like in the ultimate comics. he's taking care of petty thugs and runs into the big guns later.

If they want to say Spider-Man already had his powers they just need to say that during the Chitauri attack he was helping a bunch of firefighters get people out of a building that was slowly collapsing or something. Just because he's a superhero doesn't mean he has to be the one punching the aliens. I mean the whole "invasion" lasted what maybe an hour or two at the most?

Or maybe he was off punching Chitauri somewhere but since he's just the local vigilante that everyone was already familiar with his exploits didn't make the news like these new "Avengers" who just burst onto the scene.

None of the stand alone movies make sense if they're working on their own anyway. Where were The Avengers when Tony's house was destroyed and the President was kidnapped in IM3? Where are the rest of The Avengers when SHIELD is falling apart in Winter Solider?
They don't really need to explain where Spidey was all this time because they don't explain where everyone else is either lol

It's not about making sense. It's about not making it easy. Get Thor to help against the Winter Soldier and I'd bet things end differently. Stark with Barton and Natasha at the hideout would've been of some use. But that all makes it too easy. That's why they don't do that stuff, nor in comics. It just says why not get everyone together All the time. No. That'd be too boring. I'm glad they do that also, sure I'd like to see them at some point, but the film is called Iron Man not Iron Man and Cap. It's called Thor not Thor and Hulk. Just my 2 cents.


As for Spidey, plenty could happen. It could have been that he didn't have his powers yet during Avengers and is keeping it low profile during AoU. Like Webz said, keeping it to the petty thugs until SHIELD really needs him. It's not like the Avengers go recruiting, their team was made through luck, really.

Yes, of course I understand. It's just what constitutes the importance of all The Avengers coming together for the battle? How big does the enemy have to be for them to all be involved? U.S. President kidnapped, that's not a big enough crime for SHIELD to get involved with?

I guess you just have to think they are all fighting other battles and therefore can't be there. I know it's the same for the Justice League as well.
