Just means you haven't put the dots together. Alotta people are on that same boat after seeing the trailer. They wanted VENOM VENOM VENOM and kept looking for him when in reality they should have paid attention to what the trailer actually wanted to show you: Brock.
It's all about Brock.
Question for SNIKT:
A few months back you touted "Joe Dante's Gremlins 2: The New Batch" as one of the Top 10 greatest films of all time, far superior to countless celebrated classics. What was serious and inspiring about that film in your mind? Was it when Gizmo took matters into his own hands after being pushed too far? Or was the film's poignant messaging hidden deep within the many nuances of the gremlins' show stopping musical number?
Drive was a fun movie, and it's use of Albert Brooks put a massive smile on my face, but. . .it was all style and no substance. It's about 50 million light years away from a classic film like Taxi Driver.Us Taxi Driver/Drive-lovers can't wait to see the first ever CBM about a sociopath seeking peace and wellness via heroism.
I thought the Venom trailer was great loved his narration had they shown the creature I would’ve been bored.
I think that’s also the direction Mcfarlane is taking with Spawn.
I wish Tom Hardy was using his Bane voice in that.

What I saw was generic plot used in a 1000 different movies.
It wasn’t even a full trailer it was just a teaser and people complaining Venom wasn’t shown lol
Yeah, what this tells me [as stated earlier] is that you didn't understand the trailer. At all.
My advice is skip the movie.

batman begins was about bruce wayne... half the movie is just about him. about his upbringing, about his journey. That movie had the decency of turning him into batman half way trough
Dont give me that BULLS NONSENSE that this movie is about Brock so thats why we dont need venom.... how DARE you use that as if that makes it okay that venom will show up for 5 minutes at the end....
that would be like making an iron man movie where he never puts on the suit at all.... or never works on his suit at his house...
Even Iron Man 3 had the decency of having like 100 suits show up for a big finale And this was the THIRD iron man movie
Every iron man movie is about Tony Stark. Every Spiderman movie is about Peter Parker, and every batman movie is about BRUCE WAYNE
what do you think you are talking about? all these movies ARE ABOUT the HUMAN inside.
Venom just gets crappier the more i think about it. I really hope the leaks are true just so we can quote these posts and laugh about them like we laughed at your THE LAST JEDI posts lol

So you're actually hoping it's bad just to belittle me? Yuck.
The internet really is full of ****ing sociopaths.
I just want a good to great film... I don't care what the take is.. I just want something that I can enjoy. If its Drama, Comedy, Horror.. etc.. I don't care. A film being serious does not make it better then a non series film if the lighthearted non serious film is the better movie.
I love a serious Comic film (TDK) as much as a fun one (TWS). What put both of those films above BP for me is that they succeeded on all levels of what they were trying to do. The action was there when it needed to be as well as the drama.
That is not to say that every film has to be perfect and can't have "missteps" I still love Avengers but its not as well made as the above mentioned films.
However what keeps BP down for me is that not only did it not succeed in several moments but it offered some of the worst things I have seen in any MCU film.
If BP had a CA vs WS type street fight instead of the goofy ending we ended up with then I would rate it much higher.. As the action would have honored the drama and the two characters. I would still have had issues with parts of the film but an ending can make or break a movie and for me the last 15 min had me rolling my eyes far too often.. Took me right out of the movie. The action did not honor what came before and ruined the drama that was established.
Anyways I am off to see Death Wish
I enjoy movies of all genres and tones. A good comedy is a good comedy and can trump a more "serious" flick if the serious flick drops the ball in execution. I'm not saying that BP dropped the ball on all levels because it didn't but it definitely faltered enough that I can easily say that Ragnarok is the superior piece of entertainment.
Still waiting for you to tell me what I missed from the venom trailer snikt
Sandra Bullock interview:
While on the red carpet at the 90th Annual Academy Awards, the Oscar-winning actress gushed about the film during an interview with Access Hollywood and explained how the movie moved her as a mother.
“I started to cry backstage when I was telling [the 'Black Panther' cast not only] how much the film meant to me as a woman, but how much it meant to me as a mother,” she said.
Bullock, who is mother to her two adoptive children, Louis and Lalia, went on to explain that African American leads in films such as "Panther" have helped to impact her children's lives in the smallest, but most pivotal ways.
“I’m so grateful to Marvel because about five years ago, my son asked me if there were any brown Legos,” the actress said. “And I said, ‘Yes, there are,’ and I got a Sharpie and I turned Spider-Man brown, I turned the Legos brown, and I don’t have to turn them brown anymore.”
“That says a lot about where we are in this world, and in the world of superheroes," the star added.
And while Bullock's kids are fans of the "Black Panther" comic character and know of the film, the actress admitted that they are still too young to see the film's more intense fight scenes.
"It's a little - the stabbing I was afraid - but I think [Louis] is OK. My daughter - heck no. She'll stab my son after she sees it. But I think Lou is about in another year because it won't scare him anymore," Bullock explained. "But I bought my daughter all the swag, she runs around in the Black Panther mask, which is scary when she comes out of the dark."
For decades Lego figures were yellow. To think of all the joy I was denied on account of my mother not coloring the damn things white.
FFS, can we all at least agree that this was a good film in that it didn't treat its characters like total jokes ala Wreck-narok and for not being completely dull and forgettable like Dorktor Strange? I mean come on, you've gotta give Coogler some credit for adding real suspense.
Khev you will always be my favorite conservative voice on here your movie and industry analysis consistently hit the nail on the head at saying things that just make sense to me.
JAWS comes a close 2nd lol
Watching Ragnarok again is restoring the previous excitement I had for IW *before* I watched BP.
EDIT: And to be clear when I refer to the political preachiness of BP I mean the "bridges not walls" left wing messaging. I have no problem with the "progressive" nature of the all black cast and am actually very happy for all the black fans who've been waiting so long for a film such as this.
