Agreed on all points. Thank God that LFL's division is autonomous from Marvel. Those location shots of Jyn and Cassian spying on the city from the peaks of Jordan make all the difference in selling Jedha as a real place. It's ridiculous that Marvel can't make Earth look as real as fictional planets, lol.

Those Wakanda scenery and waterfall backdrops were seriously on par with the The Room's rooftop CGI backgroud.

That said, the real looking backdrops in RO didn't keep it from being boring.

This movie is still making money! Looks like China money is just icing on the cake for Disney.

All I saw :lol

Yeah seriously and you know what it is Khev more than just money it’s because they’re cranking them out so fast that location scouting alone would interfere in their hectic 3 movies a year plan forget flying everyone around the world to the set.

True, I hadn't even really considered the self-imposed logistical conflicts created by their break neck release schedule.

Well even if you believe that then all other things being equal "boring" > "stupid" as TDK and JL have proven, lol.

BB/TDK

TFA/TWS/CW

OT/RO

Winning combos right there.

Yes this is where all geeks should agree regardless of their own personal biases. All DC fans should concede that the Cap trilogy is great and all MCU fans should concede that the Nolan trilogy (give or take TDKR) is great. Everyone should acknowledge the awesomeness of the OT and RO. When I see fellow Marvel fans bashing Nolan I think they're just as crazy as people who bash RO, lol.

Disagreeing on/hating the rest of the MCU, DCEU, TFA/TLJ, etc., is fine but those films above are about as objectively awesome as you can get. :lecture

Shame that MOS/BvS can’t hang with that group. Close doesn’t cut it you can’t be almost pregnant lol.

And YES I can leave TFA/TLJ behind as well just give me my RO.

That Solo movie is going to be a disaster of epic proportions lol

I might consider MOS/BvS lol

Wow, I don't know if you and I can be friends here with CW and RO on that list...

Put TDKR or even Ragnarok in place of both of those and I'll be happy. ;)

That movie was about as entertaining as watching paint dry.

Well, THAT isn't true.:cuckoo: Seems like for a long time I was one of the few with interest on the board...

as this thread slid to the back...

Not my fault if Coogler or Marvel decided to emphasize some stuff, distance BP from the MCU, and lose some tickets. Or if the hype ended up with so much footage released. Or if cast lists and trailers are published so re BP you already know you're gonna end up where you started. Or if *insanely* even supposedly being part of the MCU and being aware of TWS, CW, Ragnarok, and Antman, Coogler opted to NOT pay attention to the CGI. Or the gaping hole of BP already being THE BP in CW but he's not until he gets beat up and has a juice drink or something like that...or that fight scene and not one guy uses a *primitive* gun...

So yeah, that article did it for me. As well as seeing the Ragnarok BP, where there are *some* moments IMO that needed tweaks, but overall IMO Waititi had his hand on the wheel re every detail. Underneath the *fun* is a tight, well-edited movie.

What do you care if people comment on the film? Or how much? Am sure it's still playing, u can take your 20$ and spend more time with the CGI rhinos and ground-breaking green screen work, waiting for the especially stellar moments when verbal shots are taken at white people (unlike every other MCU film that fell over itself to be diverse). Enjoy!:pfft:

Just admit that you’re a racist **** that never planned on watching this movie. :)
