There's only one showing left around here on AMC

You mean that u can get tickets to? I had checked before premier and could get tickets. After the RT score which I figure will fan the flames I wouldn't bother. But I still wanna pass on opening weekend and catch an empty-ish theater view later. Or not.:dunno

Some showing where I can kick back like the late end of the Ragnarok theater run.

I will respect the wishes of the African american fanbase and NOT go watch this that weekend. this is THEIR weekend,
dont RUIN IT by using your White PRIVILEGE and get tickets
thank you and namaste :wave

I'm offended that space-hogging Asian devils were not represented on the un-invite list. Especially since it was probably Chinese investors who funded the movie.:monkey3

100% positive reviews. Not shocking. Who the hell would risk panning this?

HUGE opening weekend for February. No matter what.

Is it really as good as they're sayin'?

negative reviews might come from international reviews (NOT that I want the movie to have negative reviews)
Something I find really weird about Rotten Tomatoes is that most of the time they count English based reviews

But sometimes depending on the movie they will add spanish or non english reviews from other countries (Brazil or Argentina or something) Sometimes when a movie is getting terrible reviews Rotten tomatoes will add Positive reviews in Portuguese or something, I have no idea how that works or how reviews get added

But There will probably be one or two bad reviews from non english papers or magazines that get added up. Again, that's not something i want, It is something I have noticed

I am perfectly fine if this stays at 100. it would be kind of cool

That is weird considering lots of these movies open overseas before the US now. Not this one of course. But they should add worldwide reviews -- or if they're afraid of the 'muh Amerca' crowd, then have domestic reviews and int'l reviews tomato meters.

Maybe they should have race meters too. Just a thought. :)

most reviews are US and UK based. (some Canadian reviews as well) Then when you are by page 3 or 4 you start seeing international translated reviews from all kinds of places.
but sometimes it takes up to page 8 to get an international non english review.
then when a movie is flopping hard you will see those international reviews praising the movie on page ONE.... it is the strangest thing .

One online reviewer said that it gets a little talky for a bit and slows down, but then he quickly said the movie picks back up. I also noticed that a lot of reviewers that were mostly a couple of whit guys talking about a movie have added a black person to this review.

Rural? I don't know that region. I live urban with its pros and cons - rather be rural but, like, when Leticia Wright said she couldn't get opening tickets re sell-outs, I wondered where she lived. Just checked and if I REALLY wanted to go to the fan event, there are tickets. In general there are sell-outs or very very well sold theaters.

So IMO sales have gone up around here over the last week at least for fan event.

Nah, it’s across the bridge from Cincinnati

NOT super-rural then. I've spent time in Ohio.

Huh, theater owners are missing out IMO if they are not showing this, especially after the slow BO sales last year. Maybe they're running 50 Shades of **** for Valentine's Day instead. :lol

There are no fan events near me. I wouldn't go anyway. If I do see this it will be on $5 Tuesdays. There is one showing each on Thursday and the two theaters nearest me still have tickets. Not looking at the ones 50 miles away.

I absolutely HATE $5 Tuesdays at movie theaters.

Some people were not meant to be parents, I'll just leave it at that.

Some rare fan events like for IW I go 'coz I can't wait any more or the movie looks pretty epic. Also Wednesday or Thursday night is better than Friday when it's real crowded. Sometimes like for DS I just go (there's an IMAX near enough). Other times I think it's cool to have the swag.

Except swag's gotten pretty pathetic IMO. BP I think is giving out a poster. Sometimes like for TLJ people cosplay, which is cool. I'm just in a situation where there's theaters close enough I don't have to make a huge effort. Prices go up - TLJ fan event I think was the most I ever paid.:( TLJ I think was the only one that I've been to that was completely sold out, so far.

That's fun; bein' with other fans. I think IW will be like that. But IMO for me too, from the Tweets etc. there'll be people at BP fan event who wouldn't call themselves comic fans or MCU fans. Which is fine, but it's not the same as being with an audience and just about EVERYONE there is an MCU or SW or comic fan. It's more like when my relatives go to a movie "because the critics and everyone said it was good." Or when people showed up for WW to make a statement (tho I don't get that; they sure didn't show up for JL later.)
