So, from what I'm reading on He-man.borg, Snake Mountain has been pushed back. Apparently the 4H are currently working on it, no doubt trying to figure out how to make it small as possible per Mattel's orders.

when asked at TF,they said it won't be much smaller...supposedly

I cannot see them doing a Crystal Castle at all nor would I want one. A cool Filmation style diorama sure but not based on the vintage toy.

Despite what the disproportionally fanatical POP fans may think, there is a reason why you can still get most POP figures on Matty and why they don't go up in value on eBay.

Yeah, trying to sell POP figures aftermarket is like trying to pull teeth :lol....A Crystal Castle would sell to the few 100 people that actually wanted it.It would be a total sales failure for Mattel

I'm not a terribly huge POP fan, but I do have all the classics POP figures. Displaying them around a vintage Crystal Castle would be good enough for me, if I needed a POP themed display option.

Yeah, I remember that. That was also said last year at one of the other cons, during Kim's reign though, who was a close second to Neitlich in terms of lies and deception. I wonder if the 4H have a hand in the actual engineering of the functionality of the play set. I'd trust the 4H more with the final execution rather than the in-house design team over at Mattel.

Wha? I hadn't heard anything about that.

If you look at the news item for the 3/15 sale it list him as being delayed until late April. No delay on taking payment though and I'm sure they won't combine shipping with April figure.

King Hsss is finally coming via a special subscriber store on 3/15 for $20 with a limit of 3 per subscriber.

I'm hearing Vultak has the screwed up ankles like Filmation He-Man. AND he appears to have the infamous "wonky eyes". I guess I'll be passing on this one if these are wide spread issues.

Bummer about the delay... I guess that's why King Hsss is coming this month?
At least it's a reasonable price...
Oh well...

Serpentine King Hsss has to be one of the biggest kick in the nads Mattel has ever administered to it's customers. Every 2015 sub holder was told they'd be getting the snake torso included in their subs at no additional cost, and Mattel chooses to back out on that promise in favor of packaging it as a full price figure to sell instead. then they have the brass to offer it to 2015 sub holders first, as if that's supposed to make it all good. LOL!

and people will lap it right up :lol

Exactly.

This is the perfect item for every MOTUC collector to boycott, but that would never happen for two reasons. This item will be an ebay scalpers field day, and completists will HAVE to have it.

I'm a fan of the POP stuff in the line and even I don't know that I'd actually buy a Crystal Castle. It'd have to be a mix of Filmation/toy and even then.... I am going to struggle to find a place for Snake Mountain. After that... I'm probably going to be out as far as play sets go. Maybe smaller scale stuff like a Slime Pit or the Fright Zone would be doable. But even if they decided to make an Eternia playset... well, okay, I'd probably buy that one. ;)

Not that it is much of a choice. I don't see a coordinated boycott ever happening. I could skip it, but then miss out on a big part of my favorite figures from 2015.

Oh yeah, fans boycotting MOTUC toys??? That's like hoping for snow in Miami. What history tells us is, no matter how much Mattel disrespects it's customers, they always come back for more because it's more important for them to have the toys, even if it means knowingly letting Mattel rip them off. It is what it is.

I don't know if you were a 2015 sub holder, but if you were, you paid for the snake torso when you paid for the 2015 sub. You will be paying for the torso again along with a set of legs and weapons he can't even hold. Pretty cool huh?!

What's awesome about collecting is that we actually have the choice of buying or not buying and if we do or don't that's each collector's decision!
But some people don't think so, apparently we all need to rebel against Mattel! [emoji38]
